Well, if it makes anyone feel better, here in Chicago, we had a blizzard yesterday. Got a good foot and a half of snow with 40mph winds. Apparently it made the record books.

Also, during the storm, someone left the gate open, and our dog decided that that would be the perfect time to go wander the neighborhood. Brilliant. She didn't get too far, as I'm not sure she could even make it over some of the snow piles. Actually, aside from checking on one of my neighbors, that was the only time I went outside yesterday. I mostly hid inside where it was warm and watched youtube videos.

More snow on the way!!! If the models are to be believed we could get 2-3 feet on Sunday. Just what I need, another damned snow day.

Good grief a double whammy is coming in the next couple of days. The street I live on is only a fraction of its normal width right now and the snow banks are at least 4-5 feet tall. This is getting ridiculous now. The only good side is that the huskies are happy.

And they're expecting another Alberta Clipper to come through over the weekend. This winter sucks!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Perfect example, today there isn't much wind with the snow. The weather geese look OK, right?

Let's check in on the weather geese now. Weather geese? Are....are you OK?

I've been afraid of changing, cuz I built my life around you.

No Monday morning blizzard scheduled this week. Guess the weather spirits are trying to get it done a few days early so that they can take off President's Day.

spooky

It's a sunny day and it's not showing. Yet due to high winds and plenty of fresh, fluffy snow to blow around, this is what it looks like outside my window.

Devlyn, what is going on up there?

I hear the mayor is telling people not to jump out of windows and into the snow?

Then I saw this:

Wow! Are people really that dumb?

We're snowed in all the way down in Kentucky, don't feel too special :P
To strive to reach the apex of evolution is folly, for to achieve the pinnacle is to birth a god.

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

Well, first and foremost, you're a libertarian, so I know that you're just as outraged as I am that the mayor is dictating personal behaviour. Secondly, if you don't have substantive proof that's me jumping out of windows, don't expect me to incriminate myself. I've been around the block once or twice, I'm not falling for that ruse!

Lol! Of course I support the right of idiots to remove themselves from the gene pool. Sometimes it does need a little chlorine you know...

I was just amazed that people were actually doing that!

Devlyn

Actually, I'm remembering that in the blizzard of '78, we climbed up on a parked boxcar and jumped off into the snowbank. But we were professional......umm......teenage punks....

During the blizzard of '78 I was living in Manhattan. Some friends and I walked down to the Wall Street area. Near Delmonico's there was a narrow street where the snow formed a perfect parabola between the windows on the second floor of a building and the windows of the second floor of the building across the street. At the lowest point, in the middle of the road the snow was 2 feet deep or more.

I leave the kitchen sink trickling from around January until April. It's cheap insurance. Have a nice Plumbers Crack Day!

Hugs, Devlyn
