LOL! I thought the very same thing the first time I got mine.

I vaguely recall having read a published research paper several years ago, which mentioned "the shape of the eye`s lens changing when exposed to high-dosages of Premarin".
So perhaps {possible} ocular-prescription changes, might also be added to the commonly cited ones of: retinal bleeding, dryness and changes for contact lens wearers.

Mine have changed quite alot since starting hrt, both my short sightedness and my astigmatism/shape, can't say there's a definite link to the hormones but I always assumed the changes from a second puberty would also include the eyes and vision.

I've had glasses since I was 16. I started HRT at 43 and after a few months I found I needed to lift up my glasses to read up close. Go figure.

I have blue green with a small inner bit of brown eyes. I think I needed glasses due to age. Although my near vision is very good my distance vision gets blurry.

Thanks good to know about light sensitivity I was thinking I might get laser surgery now might be best to wait till things settle on hrt. I have worn glasses since grade 1 lol myopia finally became stable after I stopped growing but if hrt is another puberty not sure what to expect more growth of eyes (myopia).

Btw Cynthia have same color of eyes and if you can see close but not far away that is near sightedness.

My guess is that your lenses have actually grown. Most people when they age the lenses become thinner and you get farsightedness or mix of both. Not saying its a great thing but maybe better then farsightedness (see far not close). Fyi I am 42 and just guessing ya part age and could be part hrt too. Heard some actually improve sight with it and makes sense if it reshapes into better shape if that makes any sense.

Hmm my near sight is bad, longer distance was OK now getting a little blurry depending on colour and light

I started full strength HRT at 51 so it's hard for me to differentiate between changes due to HRT vs changes due to age. I always had to get stronger prescriptions each time I got new glasses and the last set I got (my girl glasses) were even stronger.

I have noticed the increased light sensitivity, but my dry eye problem I used to have went away.
