I thought it would be interesting to learn what video game characters people id with the most, of the gender they identify as.

For me, it's Terra from FF6. She is unsure of herself, but she wants to make a difference in someone's life.  She also wants to be important to someone some day. Also, she has a second form as part esper, which I id with, due to wishing I could be a fox/vixen... ⌒.⌒
Hey all, I've created a new account because my life has begun anew.  This is to protect my identity.  Thanks for your understanding!

You know, I think lately I've identified with Krem a lot for obvious reasons from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Haha

But I also REAAALLY identify with Razum-Dar from ESO somehow?? Like he's strangely simplistic and straight forward, while being a kind of puzzle that it takes a while to get to know.

I know this isn't much to go on, but Zoey from Left 4 Dead. Her sense of humor and general style and appearance is just something I felt connected to. I always played as her but at the same time was jealous of her.

Delphine from Skyrim. Who I really am is hidden so beautifully that nobody suspects a thing :)

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

I would say Leliana from Dragon Age Origins

for me i like Max from the Life is strange stuff, just really associate with how she is quiet, but kind at the same time i guess, even though she is player based. also like her casualness and i love the retro camera she has XD

Kimberley Beauregard

Probably Maya from Borderlands 2.  Because with each line she says, I think "yeah, I'd totally react like that after getting shot at by bandits and loaders!" (though I'd say things differently).

So other than the ones that I create, huge props to fem shep in Mass Effect

Mine is final Fantasy vi as well

But celes, I always look that she was pretending to be something she wasn't, well she even believed she was right but she had a big heart once she learned to trust, that was how I saw her, plus she had that amazing aria

Arctic Kat

Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII. (Final Fantasy IX)

Sometimes, I feel trapped where I live, and I really, really wish I could be kidnapped and taken to a better place.
That, and it would benefit her to go out and explore the world.

I identify with a lot of characters for different reasons, and consequently cosplayed quite a few as well. They all tend to be serious and quiet people, but with very strong observational skills, courage and a kind heart. To name a few I relate to Riku from Kingdom Hearts the most, he really values his friends and has a strong drive to explore not only the world but who he is as well. Minato from Persona 3 for how he slowly learned to really experience the important moments in life, like making friends and protecting what was important. Cloud from FFIIV for the same reason.

FairyHime

Palutena from Kid Icarus Uprising
Kumatora from Mother 3
Vivian from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (one of the few trans characters that exist in gaming)

I feel like I'm the only nintendo gal here xD

Hmm.
Sarah Kerrigan, especially her new form in Heart of the Swarm.
Samus Aran.
EDI, Thane Krios, Eve, the Rachni Queen and for some reason, Legion, from Mass Effect.
Some female and gender-ambiguous characters from Fallen London and Sunless Sea, and also the Rubbery Men. Those poor squiddies are surprisingly much like us, when you think about it. Aside from, you know, being alien amber-traders who have tentacles in their faces.
Kate Marsh from Life Is Strange.

...That's everyone I can think of at the moment. I'll add more if I remember somebody else.

There is a better tomorrow.
