Eh, I already posted this picture in another thread.... But as it's the worse I can honestly get, and today marks the 7 month mark...  I'm curious (Truth please :P Whilst lies may be flattering, I don't like them ^^ )  Last time I asked for opinions and didn't get much due to the fact that I didn't have my head straight towards the camera etc... So, yep.. Here's me at my worse and facing the camera directly.... Not with my eyes, but with my mind... Maybe...  ... Please don't be gentle I want and need criticism :) And a real yes or no to passing.

I think you have an absolutely beautiful face. The only issue I see is your hair is really fine. But do I think you pass based on what you showed? Yes I do.

Let me explicitly clarify what I meant with "overnight" so 3 more of you don't go into spontaneous rants that are completely out of context in regards to my original question:

When I say that I would prefer/want an "overnight" transition I mean that I'm willing to wait 6-12 months, or until I feel comfortable (there's the key in all of it) with doing something about the beard. I never once eluded to or outright stated that I thought or believed estradiol to be a "magic pill".

I'm going to go ahead and remove the link as I really do not feel argumentative today. The question was simple; you answer it with your opinions all of the time, but yet I get "supposition" from an 18 year old. I'm out. *mic drop*

Well you're trying to say that my opinion is not good just because of my age, but it's clear that I've been doing this for more than you anyway, and you are just asking for someone to imagine how you would look more feminine, which is just making suppositions, because we don't know, but you could shave, wear make up, and/or longer hair, to try yourself, and then ask if you need ffs or not, which is a personal thing, Some people might still want ffs even if they pass already. I can not tell that you pass if you're not making any effort to look feminine. I am telling you what you can do to pass.

I have to agree with Muffintop, you can add those things to make a chance rather than hrt: electrolysis, makeup lesson, personal shopping experience, therapy, trachea shave and GRS.

Now if you don't have much money, there are places where to get free clothes for trans people donated, or you can go to goodwill or other thrift shops I'm not familiar with those but you can always try, because clothes helps a lot with making your body looking for feminine, and again if you feel comfortable with the beard, that's you I guess (everyone has a different dysphoria if some), but I would suggest to start laser or electrolysis as soon as possible, and shaving because you would need that to pass. For make up, eyeliner will not make the cut, you can try looking up make up tutorials on youtube, and you should really try your best with make up, I've been using make up for a while and I'm not perfect at it, and I'm pretty basic at what I use. Good luck on your transition

Thank you  :) Honestly having the sun directly behind me really made my hair look terribly worse than it is, especially considering I have a strange mix of blonde and chocolate hair... I'm not really that lacking in volume except for my bangs.... Honestly I ruined it by dying twice in a row a month or two ago plus straightening it every other day u.u So yeah.... Learn from my mistakes peeps, lol

PS: See? .... Excuse random face / moment picture

However when straightened I do lose a LOT of volume... But it reaches my chest hehe...

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Bluebird,
Honest opinion, no flattery...from the pictures you posted...You pass! Seriously, with the pony tails especially, you look soft, angled in the face, gorgeous eyes, if you dress right and dont have a super low voice, I really dont believe anybody would know. Good news is its not even been a year yet, you will continue to get more and more fem. The future looks great. Thats honest, so take it as that and believe in yourself. I look forward to seeing you in the future. Be proud.
Love Stephee
I am being honest with myself and others here at all times, because I cant be honest in other parts of my life, just want honesty, support  and kindness for all.  :-*

Alyssa rae,
You say your about 4 months now, in the pictures you look good. The first picture I assume is the oldest, I can see some features of man, but if I wasnt told, I doubt I would know a thing. Thats really good for 4 months, you will look like a stunner before to long, keep workin with the make up, Lord knows I suck at it, You are well on your way. Your last picture is really good. Keep it up. You should be right on time to go fulltime as you want to.

I think your face passes from this front angle. It also looks like you have a small frame and narrow shoulders from what is visible in the pic.

Hair Removal - 10/1/14
HRT - 3/18/15
Full Time - 7/1/15
Name Change: 8/4/15
FFS - 1/14/16

That's just not realistic, we are all different. Also, an overnight transition is not realistic neither.

I kind of get where Nikki G is coming from though. Start the HRT and then one day just switch... may or may not work and I don't know if any therapist would even recommend it. I would recommend against delaying hair removal though, given what a pain in the neck (the pain is much lower actually) it is.

QuoteHormones are not magic pills, most changes are not going to be facial wise if you're not a teenager anymore, and even me (I am 18), I will not get much facial changes neither. HRT usually takes a year to see a realistic change and it's usually just boobs maybe some fat, in your fce you might get more feminine cheeks and a softer and more feminine skin.

Totally, totally disagree. I am twice your age and I have been on doctor supervised HRT a little over 3 months, at a fairly moderate dosage too with spiro and E. My E regularly measures in the 300s to 400s to give you an idea.

I look totally different from 3 months ago, face wise.

On the VirtualFFS website it was also mentioned that hormones can do a lot. Sure, they are not magic pills but they can make some drastic changes. It boils down to the HRT regimen and genetics.

I haven't started my transition yet but I'm super excited for it. The only thing I'm worried about is what my face will look like when it starts to change.

@JLT1: Thank you very much :) *hugs back*
@Jessie Ann: Hehe, thank you :)
@stephee72: Well, honestly even if it isn't flattery, I am flattered, thank you :D Admittedly, my voice is and has usually been my main issue... Hopefully I'll be given a speech therapist eventually... As for clothes... I've been fulltime for 5 years, even before HRT and I still never know what to wear >.<   haha... But I think I kind of have it covered :) And yup, you're right about the changes.... Only after the 6 month mark have changes really started to become obvious... Maybe it's coz it's when I started eating more.. I don't know hehe, looking forward to the future...
@michelle82: Thanks! Well, honestly I don't find it to be small... I mean I sometimes have issues getting into certain dresses because of the chest area being way too tight... I think the clothes you wear make a big difference in how that area comes out, visibly to be honest....

If you really want to, you can have the virtualFFS person do a simulation. It won't be 100% but I heard it is good.

I'm still doing it either way so I want to be surprised I guess (still nervous though hahaha). My face isn't too masculine in my opinion and I'm only 19, so I'm hoping for the best!

Just out of bed. no makeup.

After getting dolled up.

So I got done taking pictures and feel like they just don't do me much justice. In the mirror I think I looked so cute.. but the pictures just look... idk. weird. Anyways. I went around asking everyone in my family what they thought. No one said I failed. In fact the worst that was even said was "I'm just not used to it.. so it's hard to say if you would pass or not". Others said I passed.

So.. Do I pass? I'm pre HRT. Just playing with makeup and having a good time. I keep looking in the mirror thinking I have a pretty good chance at passing. But I wanna know what you all think. Brutality is welcome. Don't sugar coat it. I can take it :D

Rotika, you pass pretty darned well if you asked me.
