Honestly and not trying to judge either way but I think you will be fine. I also wonder and trust me I have a lot more to get over then you but I feel the mental pass to self is more important to a degree of course.
Fyi 40's overweight and bald on the later I hope it grows but it may never have to face that. Do stop and think though that every person does have some feminine/masculine traits even if CIS and really the worlds worst critic is ourselves. Try not to be to hard on yourself:)

Hi Beautiful,

You can easily contour your forehead with some makeup :) Try to watch some youtube tutorials on how to contour your face.
You'll be fine. I also didn't think I would pass in the beginning but it only gets better.

You have a lot more potential than you think. Definitely with makeup done the right for your face, along with the right hair style you should be fine. I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. We are definitely our own worst critics. Hugs

I think You will be fine. If your forehead bothers you just style your hair with side parted bangs to cover some of your forehead. I hate pulling my hair back for the same reasons.

Well you have some amazing eyes kiddo. Hormones can do amazing things to.. especially to soften the face over time.
I look at women all the time now.. for a different reason.. I think its a girl thing.. I look at what they wear, makeup, shoes that type of stuff and everyone does what is most natural for them.. at least most do.
Some Cis women.. ugh.. really need help dressing!

You know Meow, (never ever thought I'd start a sentence this way  ;D ), just a few things.  First is that I find it interesting that I'm not the least aware of what a person considers a minus unless it is mentioned, and even then 'most' times I still dont see it, as in you.  Second I have been here paging through who know how many pics and I've sort of got used to noting markers that are a plus for a nice transition, you have many.  Last is your age, you have an advantage that many do not.  I started my transition at age 62 nine months ago and seeing myself back then the only thing that continued to be my drive was that desperation of a person that has used up every possible avenue.  What was left?  To just do it.

So reach inside pull up the strength needed, do what's needed, and you will I'm sure get what's needed.   Dani

Honestly I think you'll be fine. You've got a good starting point and great hair that, with the right styling will change the look and shape of your face and forehead (not that I see it as an issue anyway)

I thought the same way too but I am slowly seeing results with makeup and time on hormones. Just give it time and have faith.

I've found that half the battle of passing is confidence. If you go out feminine and don't second guess what you're doing or how you're moving, less people will notice. Then there are those who act overly feminine, try and not do that because it's a red flag at that point.  Your hair can be styled in such a way that you could hide a big forehead. Makeup can also help.  It's a fine line unfortunately but you can do it. I find that even if most people perceive you as Trans they won't go out of their way to point it out unless their completely rude and you don't need those people anyway.

Hmm. Try using proxtube - maybe that will unblock it for you.

With time and patience it will come.

And unfortunately I agree with MissyMay, you can have all the confidence in the world and that won't help you. Look at what happened at PF I am sure she had all the confidence in the world, but didn't pass that well.

Unfortunately that is the reaction many transwomen get, seen by what's on the outside not the inside.

Sorry, but passing is about how you look, and has nothing to do with confidence.

Sorry but I have to disagree with this. I believe  it's a combination of both physical looks and confidence with the exact proportions varying from person to person. You can have someone who looks physically great but if they don't have the confidence they can will raise flags and give themselves away. Likewise if someone presents only marginally OK but has the confidence they will draw less attention to themselves. I'm not saying looks are not important because they most definitely are, however, they are not the only factor.

Hey listen, kiddo, you've got a lot more to work with than many GG's. I have no idea what your voice is like or the rest of your frame conveys, but let me tell you, I think you look a lot better than when I started. I'm still tall and have broad shoulders. I make up for it by wearing 3" wedges. ;) Seriously, I haven't had passing problems for many years. The only time I've had is when I wear men's clothing in Home Depot and someone comes up from behind to ask if they can help me. I used to wear mens clothing a lot. Tomboy sort of thing. Go figure.

But the past four years, I've not worn mens clothes and I wear a very femme haircut. So, I don't get anything but the proper pronounce.

You have looks conducive to transitioning fluidly; quit worrying!  Dive in and give it a try I say. Your facial features aren't sharp, so there's really no doubt in my mind that you'll be able to pass.  Also skin changes a lot.  I wish I could post a before and after photo for me, but I can't figure out how on this forum.  Essentially, I had really terribly oily, acne-filled skin before.  Now, I look like porcelain in some pictures.  Seriously, I can't stress it enough: the hormones will change everything (except for bone structure lol).

Hiya Meow,

I can't imagine what it is about your forehead that has you so vexxed, but you do have nice hair.  If you are so very concerned about presenting your forehead to the world, you can always cut your hair into bangs.

I have no issues with my forehead, but I happen to love the look of pretty, well maintained bangs.  I haven't even seen my forehead in years.

Above all else, do whatever it takes to fall in love with yourself!  I cannot stress enough the importance of this point.  Love yourself, and the world will love you back.  Everyone you meet is your mirror.
FEAR IS NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!!
