Does anyone heard from Micropigmentation?

it's where they make a medical tattoo on bald spots. I have a slight M shape, not too much to opt for hair transplants, but it is visible. I heard that they can place a medical tattoo on those bald spots to hide the skin tone.

I wonder if anyone has considered/done this. And is it cheaper than transplants?

Of course it is much cheaper, but what kind of results do you expect? Try to retouch the bold spots with make up just to find out what does it look like. It is similar with tattoo, so maybe a regular tattoo would also do the trick as a permanent solution. I have had tattoo with skin color over a scar and it looks great. It really covered the scar and made it same with the skin. But it all depends on your individual case.

I would consider permanent makeup for bald spots in the middle of the hair to cover a scar or a mark from an accident or even for the crown if the hair loss isn't too serious, but not for the hairline where it would result too evident.
A big problem I see even if it's done on top of your head is that you would get stuck with your current hair color. If you want to go blonde or you just get white hair the dark tattoo will stick out.

May I recommend a different solution?

I highly recommend investigating them. I plan to do so after my FFS. I've consulted with a hair restoration surgeon and he's going to do what he can but my loss on top is very severe so he is recommending this as a means to finish a very natural and complete look.
