Does anyone know the best ways to control vaginal discharge?

As instructed and as is obvious I clean every time I shower, but still, even being almost a year postop, I notice vaginal discharge.

I'm unsure if it's to do with any kind of granulation tissue, or just simply from left over mineral oil (lubricant).

Normally I still have to wear a light liner, but still, I'd love to go without one as normal...

Time and healing and it should calm down.

I do know a few girls who still ware pantie liners after many, many years.

Everyone reacts to things different, some get blessed with over natural lubrication.

Yeah, early on you don't want to "control" it as that's how the surgical site is cleaning itself as it heals. But by a year post-op, you could definitely have a doctor take a quick peek up there to rule out any minor medical problems that might be causing it (granulation, yeast infection, etc.) and then see if cutting down on lube is worth it.

Basically, if you think there's a chance it's granulation, you need an expert to check. :)

I am almost 7mos post op and still I get heavy flow of discharge from time to time which can be resolved by douching betadine. I only dilate once a day and every after dilation I wear pads because it leaks out after. I always smell my dilator after to check if my discharge inside is normal (smells like fishy / salty) but when it has a strong foul smell which I get rarely, I fixed it by douching everyday. When the smell is gone, I only douche when its needed (like maybe twice a week).
