Progress is being made and I've decided for sure I'm going to get this done. I just was told by the surgeon that I need to be at 189 lb or less, which is a relief because its doable . I thought they were going to make it a lot less. I also found out I need electrolysis . does anyone know what that entails, like what kind of place do you go to get genital electrolysis or is it the same as facial electrolysis.

Hi Steph,

My BMI is 26 and the cut off is 28 from the one surgeon I visited.

Where I am doing electrolysis they do GCS electrolysis. It takes 3 sweeps to get all the hair. You need time between sweeps so plan accordingly.

Where I visited for GCS they also do GCS electrolysis and do it under numbing agents so the entire area is done in one session.

Just in conversation with my electrologist one day, she told me that she knew the patterns necessary for GCS.  Currently I'm busy having my face done but it's good to know.

Possibly someone local to you would know as well?

Getting weight down is doable. I found that reducing portions and carbs along with exercise (if possible) works wonderfully.

Genital electrolysis basically is removing the hairs from the shaft if you have any. I have a few and I'm afraid it will HURT. That said my electrologist can do it no problem. She's trans as well so she knows the drill.
Best of luck babe!

It's a shame that they're expecting that, though at least the goal is reasonable.

(I concentrated on being in the best physical shape of my life, and my GP actually wrote a letter saying I was super healthy... but I was still around 215 lbs at 5'7" then. I had no problems, and there were skinnier girls who had more trouble with the stairs. ;) )

I just have to stop with eating porterhouse steaks and work on spinach salads . I use to eat spinach salad everyday until the restaurant I go to start chopping everything up together instead of having the spinach leaves and onions and mushrooms and eggs lying peacefully on top of each other. and carrots, It just doesn't taste  right all chopped together.

Fastest and easiest way to lose is consume nothing but water the last few hours before bedtime. You also sleep better. Good luck.
