Well,
I am having Body shaping surgery next month.. actually its the Brazilian Butt lift and hip work..
Anyway, I could save money if I just go ahead with my breast augmentation.
My chest is ok.. bigger than my Mom or sister... already which is weird.. not expected.
They are sore.. so I know things are happening. Not sure how big they will get.
They are not big enough thats for sure..
I would so love to come home with breasts.... I need them for my shape but my ex thinks I should wait and see if they get big enough on their own.
I am not a young lady either.. so i think it would be amazing if they did get big enough... I am not getting my hopes up.
What should I do?????

Dodie, the conventional wisdom seems to be to wait 2 years. However, it's real hard to do.

I caved it at the 18 month mark, and am glad I did. :)

The girls have gotten a bit larger since then, almost more than I want, so be aware of that potential as you select an implant size...

I want them too. I'm hoping I can hold off at least 2 years. Its supposed to take 5 years to fully finish, but most should be there in 2. Anyway for me the priority is SRS.

hi Dodie,
we are about the same in our time line,
I could not wait and had a full breast reconstruction and ended up with implants that brought me to between b and c cup
I am very pleased with the results and still am having a bit of growth and full sensation, the recovery was not to bad, for the implants but the recontruction process took several monthes to create the pocket for the implant to rest in..

all in my experience very mu worth the time and discomfort
one day, one step, with grace it will be forward today

If you want to go the natural route you could look up breast masage... its originally for cis girls who grow their breasts... with a good oil (I'd go with plant sources, not mineral, and for massage purposes), twice a day... its said to help with estrogen receptors and blood flow.

And you could look up noogleberry, there are a few reviews on amazon for example. Just don't overdo it... gentle suction and a gentle experience :) .

One thing that transition taught me was patience.  I am willing to wait until I'm at the 5 year mark from the full HRT dose before I go under the knife.   I'm afraid that if I get implants now, I'd just need to have them removed later and end up with two sets of scars.  If I get anything like double what I have from the last 2 years in the next 3, I won't need them at all and will just have to buy more guitars instead.

Everyone is different and I think you should do whatever you feel you need to do

I didn't have any choice but to wait because such things are not easily affordable to me, but I'm glad I waited because even though it took a few years I now have a nice pair of natural C-cups

Honey, something to consider - often the post-op advice for butt lifts is "sleep on your stomach". That could be uncomfortable with new bewbs. Worth asking about maybe...

I had BA after 1,5 years HRT. Why wait 2 years? 2years are as good a 4 years or one year. There is no scientific evidende that after 2 years a transwoman hasa fully developed breast.

It is the same as with FFS. Why wait a few years? I did not wait and I am so happy.

I'm waiting till after I get grs to see if I want implants still. I'm 3 years in and they're still growing, its subtle but they're still maturing too. Most recently my aerolas changed shape and darkened a bit again. Anyways If I do get breast aug I want the best aesthetic possible, if that's a big concern for you too then I'd say wait it out a bit more.

Why waiting is important for aesthetics? For me aesthetics is also veeeery important. But it seems to me choosing the right doc and having achievable goals defines the results, not the waiting time. Becauxe three years are as good as three months or three decades. I had one cup growth after BA and nobody thinks I had a BA. With a much bigger implant or the wrong size the result would surely look arteficial.

I'm sure there is a difference in breast growth between "3 months and 3 years"...cis-women can take 2-5 years to get theirs. Our timeline is likely to be comparable.

i would only do one procedure at a time...butt first, them breasts. Just MHO.

The one thing you said that would make me wait is that you're still sore.  I'm almost 3 years into hormones.  My growth pains started tapering off after 2 years, but in the last year I've gone from Sporty B's, as I used to say, to a full C, and a complete Tanner 4.  I consider it a genetic gift, given that I'm in my 50s.  But growth pains definitely started reducing somewhere around the 2 year point and are all but gone now. So I think I'm pretty much done as far as growth goes.  But breasts can mature in shape for a few more years (one reason some take progesterone) and I'd be concerned about disturbing that.  But really, there's no way to know.  Most trans women don't get that much, many don't get much shape, and many only reach Tanner 2 or 3.  So those number are in favor of the BA.  But growth pains!  Would you let a teenage daughter still in growth get a BA?

Well in my case if I had gotten breast augmentation that first year of hrt I would of ended up with poor results since back then I was an aa cup maybe even a aaacup. I'm now a full acup/small b and like I said still growing. So yeah waiting is important for aesthetics so you have as much breast tissue as possible to work with for a natural look. The other issue with getting breast aug early is ending up with bigger breasts than you initially wanted since they're still maturing. You don't know what your final size will be till good amount of time on hrt.

I am almost 2 years on HRT. 16 months on pills and 8 months (almost) on injections. My T is and has been very low.

I have noticed much greater rate of growth on IM than pills for me (everyone is different).

In 2 more years if I double in size I will be satisfied. If I have 125% increase I will be happy.

I think about a BA sometimes and I want the procedure but I also want to be natural. I will wait.

Dodie, perhaps waiting 6 months will help the current surgery heal and some growth to occur.

I had sub muscular breast implants via armpit incisions, and I had a lot of pain; it also didn't help that Dr. Chettawut prescribed tramadol for pain, which brings up a little rant; traveling to a foreign country for surgery is great, you save money and you get to get to travel somewhere new, but some countries have restrictions on narcotics and Doctors are not allowed to prescribe said drugs outside of a hospital.  Anyway Dodie, from what I understand about the Brazilian But Lift, you do have to stay off of your backside for a few weeks in order for the fat cells to survive, so it could be very uncomfortable to have breast implants at the same time.
