I had my LGBT group today & a we watched Mamma Mia (this is the 3rd time this week i've watched it) I had a quick meeting beforehand OMG things are picking up speed.
I now have at least one training session next week (2 if I can sort out bus fare), i'm going to be signed up as a volunteer with another support charity for the homeless & recently housed to increase my contacts for the LGBT group.

Now for the scary bit. . . next friday I have to give a talk about IDAHOT & transgender issues at a womens shelter, then on the following monday I have to give the talk to some of the high level managers for the hostels in the area, this means i've got a week to learn as much as I can about LGBT law, yipes, jinkees.

The day after i'm attending a meeting for LGBT Bristol to discuss trans issues & how things can be improved in this city, I was told that I HAVE to attend as apparently i'm the reason this focus meeting is taking place because I made a few suggestions last year, yipes, jinkees again!!

This snowball that was a small LGBT group is rolling down the hill rapidly gaining momentum & i'm just hanging on & hoping to survive

Well, I guess that didn't sound right, eh?

...let me just say that I had a bacon triple cheeseburger for lunch from Five Guy's Restaurant today.

My truck is repaired. Monday I will be assigned a load towards South Carolina to pick up my co-driver. I hope to visit my Aunt who lives in Moncks Corner. She's never seen me since I transitioned.

I got my first laser treatment today!  PEW-PEW-PEW!

Holy hells, it hurt but the after-effects aren't nearly as bad as I expected.  It's only been about two hours and my face is already looking somewhat normal and not swollen.

So happy!  Such a big step for me.

My mother renewed our netflix subscription so I can watch stuff again!

I gave my first LGBTQI talk today at a womens shelter & was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a rocking horse factory.
I survived and in spite of two hot flushes during the talk everyone claimed it was a great talk.
I ended the presentation with a Q & A session, I told the people there that many trans people are uncomfortable with being asked personal questions so they were free to ask me anything they thought was innappropriate to ask a trans person to facilitate any future dealings with trans people, they were very respectfull in their questions & the Q & A went on for an hour.
On monday I have to give the presentation again, this one is in the same building where someone threatened to smash a plate of curry in my face so i'm glad I gave the talk today as it will help my nerves on monday.

Wish me luck cause i'm gonna need it!!

Got both mine and my brother's grass mowed and weed eated today finally. Kind of let it get a bit bad, but meh, neighbors got over it...

Walked into a gas station and this lady was staring at me as she passed. Walked out out to my car she stops me "excuse me, do you know who you look like" um........no ! Daryl Hanna, do you know who she is? I said yes but honestly I had to look her up, thank you google. She took a few pics.....lol and drove off. Please god I don't want to be on someone's Facebook page tonight.

I got the referral letter to the endo - so hopefully add hormones to the AA regimen... yay!

Going to a Ronnie James Dio cancer charity event/celebrity bowling thingy later.   We have our own lane and don't even know how to bowl.  Oh well, it's supposed to be more like a "get drunk with rock stars and write us checks" type of thing.  Two things I am actually good at.

Getting the doujinshi I ordered from Japan in today when I expected it to come in at the end of the month.

Dogsitting my friend's pembroke corgi while he's away on leave. Church is such a sweetheart I don't want to give him back.

I faced my fears head on today, I gave a talk about trans issues at a day center for the homeless, when I was last there someone threatened to smash a plate in my face & i've used every excuse under the sun to avoid having to set foot in there for the last year.
Today I waltzed in there as if nothing was wrong whilst shaking like a leaf inside, I now have to return there on Thursday as one of the staff wants to start a poster campaign to drive home the message that this charity has a zero tolerance policy on transphobia, now that i've gotten over that hurdle returning should be easier (hopefully).
