I'm still in the closet as trans, but out as bisexual. My (cis and straight!) mom and I watched a documentary about trans people, because she knows how involved I am in the LGBTQIA+ community and she always likes learning more about those things. She never said anything negative about the trans people in the documentary, and actually was always saying sweet things about them. She always used the right pronouns and referred to them as their correct genders. (!!!)

I've honestly never seen a cis/het person as accepting of the LGBTQIA+ community as her, and that helped calm down some of the anxiety I have about my inevitable coming out as trans.

I love my mom.

^ lol your rich! God that reminds me of the time when my cousin moved out. He had this recliner chair he ate in, played video games in 24/7 passed out/ slept in. Anyways when he left the chair stayed behind as well, I took a sawzaw <sp tool to and removed the god awful thing. I must of found $20 in change and 5 lbs of Doritos dust and crumbs. It was horrible .

Finally finishing up a very large job I've been running behind on. Sometimes owning your own business can be stressful as hell.

I attended an LGBT focus meeting today, as the chair opened the meeting she told the people present that this meeting would not have taken place if it wasn't for me raising some concerns I've had about the lack of trans support in this city, I felt well chuffed at this point.
Then as my eye scanned the agenda for the meeting I noticed my name on the list of speakers!! Luckily I've given 2 trans presentations in the last week so was able to fill my time slot without notes but it would have been nice to have some warning.

That the backup drain for the a/c is there, works and that I actually noticed it dumping water from the outlet for it at the eave. Got the regular drain cleaned out and going now.

I went with my SO to her doc appointment today and I left the house with only light makeup. Subtle eye shadow and a little lip liner.
So when we got to the doctors I had to use the restroom. I asked the nurse for the key to the bathroom and she handed me the key to the LADIES room.
Silly, I know, but it did give me a good feeling.
Yeah.

I contacted someone who's giving away their old binders. Even though it's not guaranteed, the chances that I'll be getting a binder are really good, and I'm pretty much ecstatic (and I may or may not be tearing up from happiness)

Cute!!

Thank you, it's been quite awhile since I'd gotten myself a new dress and I'd been looking for one like that and at 1/4 of the price and free shipping I couldn't resist

There were 4 available when I first looked, but they are sold out now

Well, it was Sunday, but I still need to share lol.
My SO and I went to a museum and then lunch at a nice restaurant nearby.
I did my makeup and tried something new with my hair. I thought it was subtle but feminine. I was dressed somewhat guy like, but I don't have much in women's clothing that I like.
Anyway. When the waiter came, he rested his hand lightly on my shoulder. I wouldn't think he would do that for a man, but we were in a gay friendly area, so I thought that my be it.
So we chatted with him a little and found out he was from Hawaii and moved here for his girlfriend. Hmmm, the plot thickens.
He did the same thing a little later on and I found it to be very nice.
So I paid our bill with my credit card, male name, and when he brought it back, he seemed unsure whom to give it to. My SO presents somewhat male.
Not sure what it all means, but it still felt good.

I bumped into someone today I used to know back when I was still working at the clinic.  We had the usual catch up type of chat and I mentioned my daughter was living with me.  On being asked how old my daughter was I said she was 30 and was told I looked far too young to have a 30 year old daughter.  ;D

This was a few days ago but...

I had a run tat took me 2000 miles to deliver. My delivery was in Kent Washington. It's a long haul but I love the view. After Washington the drive through Utah was amazing. In Transformers: Age of Extinction,  there is a scene that takes place at this area called "Hole in the rock." I got to see it in person. With the Autobots hiding in Utah, I couldn't help put play the "Autobots reunite" theme across the radio. And quietly imagining being in Optimus Prime as I drove my Kenworth.

Long trips can be boring. :p
