Hi Eva Marie,

Wow, you're right, there is a very noticeable difference!  Well that's encouraging, as is your bust, lol.  That's after one year?  I would be very conflicted about that.  On one hand I would be delighted to have such breast development, and on the other hand I would be freaking out about hiding them when I go to work, since I present as a male.

However, facial changes are something I would welcome, and are a major reason I want to start HRT.

To be honest that bra contains some padding and the angle is such that it makes them appear bigger than they are. In normal everyday clothing they are "just" big enough to make the rest of my body proportional. I think that someday when funds allow a BA is still needed to get to the size I want which is 1 cup size larger.

I did want to show you the striking changes that happened to my face. Before I carried considerable weight in my face and neck and that all went other places. One time I was flying and was on HRT but hadn't transitioned and the TSA lady that was checking my ID went back and forth between looking at that very picture (which came from an old driver's license) and my face and finally said that there was only 1/2 of me left. I just smiled, knowing that it was the HRT.

Another change that I did not take a pic of is my posterior which has grown considerably, especially when I started taking progesterone.

The changes are slow but they do come - I started noticing significant changes around 9 months and I started getting male fails shortly thereafter.

The myth that "HRT does nothing to your face" seems to be pervasive these days.

It's just flat out wrong.

Fat distribution changes plus muscle atrophy will bring about significant changes to facial features.

As for breast, also flat out wrong. However it does have a lot to do with genetics and just plain luck.

Younger ages tend to do better but some of us older gals aren't doing so bad either.

I'm 6 months now, tight 34B and my face looks different. I wear no makeup most of the time and get male failed all the time now.

I think the emotional and mental changes are some of the most satisfying benefits as HRT affects more than skin and boobs. It threads through everything in life once you get settled in on it. I think HRT needs a big picture approach and not be so narrow focused which it seems to be most of the time.

Yep, I have been on hrt for a year and 3 months. I have a b cup and growing. Hrt does feminize the eyes a lot. I am blessed with some of how my transition has gone for me genetically, but I have a fair amount of emotional turmoil that is unrelated to transitioning, and brain damage and social anxiety from a lifetime of abuse I would gladly exchange for worse transition genetics.
I am 31 and I started at 30.
Yep.
I am me. I am out to the world. Loving life and making peace with me.

Girl I know is growing D+ at the moment O.o
I think it's genes mostly
But it's a bit discerning since there are many more hormones&modulators at play
androgens/estrogens/progestogens are just the sex-related ones, there are also mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids & other regulatory modulators...

But OP you're so young you'll grow into a beautiful person nontheless if you decide now.

I don't know , I've have a big change on HRT. I'm at 20 months and a DDcup. I think it's a lot more powerful than people realize .

Who ever you have been reading is wrong.  I am  the endocrine system subject matter expert  in a fortune 100 company.  I am not an MD...I have way more education than they do....

You will approach what you would be if you were CIS.  Some come very,  very close.  Some not so much.  The exceptions are bone structure, voice, sex organs ect.  But there is  a lot that changes.

You have no way of knowing how much you will change and neither does any one else.  But there will be changes....

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

ok just because something might not give you big boobs (It could) or do much to the face ( it does soften you features over time) doesn't mean that it isn't doing anything. I am six months on hormones. I have a tiny dose and no breast development at all. That doesn't mean I haven't seen any changes. I have had some slight changes in my body measurement. I went from 35-28-35 to 35-27-36 and I gained five pounds. most of  it has went into my legs( I kinda needed it). My skin is soft like butter and my body hair is starting to thin now. My face is looking younger. there are so many awesome things that estrogen is doing to my body, and I didn't even mention the psychological changes.

All of that came during a time span of me being on an 8th of a full dose for 3 months and a quarter of a full dose for three months. I just started my half of the full dose this week!

Anyways, these changes may seem small, but they make a significant difference in my self-confidence. Enough so that I can wear short shorts in public and know that I rock them!!!!

Just to keep the tide flowing, I am 36 and started under 3 months ago, two months on a higher dose. I am already a B cup, but the women in my family tend to have large breasts. But I have had all the other effects start coming in to play and they are all marvelous.

The best was the mental changes, getting to feel like me. I said it at the time and I still mean it. If all that happened was the mental changes then it would all be more than worth it.

When I started my transition in '06, I decided that keeping my expectations low were my best option. It's been okay. It hasn't been totally mind-blowing. But, it's good enough. I was at a point in my life where I literally had nothing to lose when I started. So, I just got the ball rolling and didn't worry about things all that much. Things are what they are and it's fine.

Hey, since people are posting measurements...

pre-HRT
Bust : 40" (under bust 40", of course)
Waist : 38"
Hips : 40"

Now (5.5 years HRT)
Bust : 45" (under bust 37")
Waist : 28"
Hips : 46"

I'd say HRT definitely did some nice things for me, although I wish I were thinner.

HRT is the spice of life for our lot.  They give mental happiness as well as needed physical changes. I honestly would not enjoy life if I didn't have them.
Warning though, if you are trans and start on them, you are very likely not going to be able to go off of them without a monster amount of willpower.

As far as measurements go, my girls are 36 C-D.  My heart leaps for joy every morning when I see myself in the mirror, well it does for that brief moment until I see "it".  I can't wait until that's taken care of too.

long story short, HRT affects a lot and I can't imagine my life any more without it.
