Christine Eryn, I'm so happy to hear that your surgery went well. Recovery is far easier when you're in familiar surroundings. The first couple of days are always a real miserable experience, but I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised when the bandages finally come off.
I'm a big believer in the idea that for many of us, the local FFS options (from the docs who are highly experienced but who haven't shaped their practices into dedicated FFS shops) are more than adequate. When it comes to cost, convenience, and - most importantly - results, going local often works, especially when it's the basics like nose, minor forehead work, brow lifts, hairline advancements etc. The only time a dedicated FFS surgeon is an absolute must is when there's lots of bone work that needs to be done: jawbone stuff, type 3 forehead (which is oversold in my opinion, but it's a very unpopular opinion here), or tweaks to more than a few areas of the face. And those cost savings can easily add up to the price of SRS - great for those of us with very limited sources of funding.
Can't wait for updates!
