The last time someone said I was pretty was at my last therapy session. I had on a pink dress and a little make up and my therapist said I was very pretty.  It made my day. Do others get compliments often on their looks or are they sparse and far in between . Another time someone said something nice was about 5 months ago when I walked into a restaurant that I frequent and one of the employee's complimented me on a dress I was wearing. It made me feel on cloud 9. I really love being complimented on my dresses.

Yesterday,

I was drunk from a party yesterday and a very handsome boy of 18 approach me in the metro and told me. I took him to my place and we wakka wakkad.  I behave so cheap when I'm drunk omg 

When they were sober? *le sigh*

Most every day but that's just because I'm not single, had a stranger open a door for me today, that's always nice. The only times strangers have approached me at night and started hit on me I thought were pretty scary usually always get abused if you turn them down.

Two days ago via PM message on LGBT dating site. A couple of messages later the guy turned out to be waay too creepy for me to handle and so I cut him off.

Last month;
When I was out with  a CIS Female friend Tracey at a restaurant near Exeter in Devon. She also said she loved my perfume and I smelt gorgeous.
Later her Mum arrived - and she said the same thing.
It really made my day.

It has been awhile, but then I am 66 and that makes a difference.

Walked past a couple of men my age on the sidewalk. When I had gone by, I heard one say "She's cute!"

Of course my BF says it often but he is biased LOL!

Like anyone who isn't my mom?

Um, never.

At least once a day.

I look in the mirror with my wig on and a flower in my hair and whatever clothes I've chosen to enhance my flawed but special body.

I keep looking until I see beauty there. It never takes long.

I try to avoid leaving the house without telling myself I'm beautiful.

Of course if the question in Subject line is asking when the last time someone else said it, that question is harder to answer.

Well at 55 I prefer to be Good looking, and back in the day I'm not sure I encouraged people to call me Pretty because that wasnt what I wanted to be. I wanted to be an intelligent, powerful, strong, remarkable, compassionate, yet striking, woman.

Actually come to think of it I don't anyone would ever have survived calling me pretty! lol

Seriously It just wasnt my motivation - do I have a positive self image and high self esteem? Absolutely. Is that tied to my looks? No.

I get called pretty by children quite frequently, but it is rare when an adult will say it. I have been thinking about this for quite a while, trying to figure out why children would say that. Is it that children have a different sense of beauty because their views haven't yet been clouded by mainstream media's version of beauty? Is it that because they haven't had the binary forced upon them yet that they are able to sense the beauty of someone being true to themselves?

I think it was a week or so ago, some guy in the store told me that. I used to hear it a lot, but as I've gotten older, not as much. I'm pretty sure I'm well beyond my LFD now though.

well the closest I've gotten was here. Someone said I had a pretty smile...not sure if that counts tho

Pretty?  Never.

Beautiful?   That happens a couple or so times a week.

Somehow, at 6'1" and dressed for work or casual tims,  I don't think pretty  applies.

I got called "gorgeous" by one of the women in the office today!

This morning. Hubby always says that.  No one else says the word 'pretty' though, they use the word 'beautiful'. I don't feel I am beautiful or pretty-- just an average girl who is tired and a good long nap would do me good. ZZZzzzzzz.

Two nights ago, as we were watching Becoming Us on ABCFAMILY, my 16 yo daughter, sitting next to me, turns and says "You're so much prettier than Carly".

I'll take it!

I'm glad you said that about children, they stare at me all the time and it would be great if it was because they thought I was pretty.
