Laurry

I went to the doctor today...as Laurry.  No trying to be female, no trying to pass, I was just myself.  It was fantastic.

I haven't been to the doc's in a while...not since I moved a couple of years ago.  Since my old doctor is clear across town (and Dallas ain't exactly small), I needed a new doctor in my neck of the woods.  I figured they would find out about me soon enough, so I just went as myself...good old androgynous Laurry.  Mostly male clothing, long-ish hair (with receding hairline--no wig), eyeshadow and mascara and a little lipstick, long nails...just my normal self.

Only once did I have second thoughts, and that was as I was parking the car.  I remember thinking to myself, "You are out of your F'ing mind," but I did it anyway.

Know what?  Nobody even blinked.  I had this whole "I'm transgendered" speech all ready, and didn't even have to use it.  :)

Just thought I would drop a little good news on y'all.

Peace, and thanks for all the good thoughts.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Way to go Laurry! :icon_dance: It sounds like you're really becoming comfortable being you. Keep it up.
