I've been coming on and off for the past 3 years or so (I was 18 back then, now I'm 21 and 3 years on T!), but I haven't gotten to know any of you personally yet. I feel like all I do is come here for answers when I need to complain lol. Gotta cut the pessimism.

You've all been super helpful, super kind, and I really appreciate every single care and thought you guys have given to me. I'll try to be more active on the forums, and provide you with my own support whenever I can.

So, I'd like to get to know you better.


1) How has your experience on T changed you personally? Did you grow as a person? Gained more perspective?

Ok, since I mostly lurk and don't post much, here goes:


1) How has your experience on T changed you personally? Did you grow as a person? Gained more perspective?

In some ways not at all and in others a lot. I'm more confident and feel like my body is finally running closer to the way it was always meant to. I have more confidence and my moods are more stable and I don't get overwhelmed as easily.

2) Have your interests changed during your transition? (such as hobbies)

My interests haven't really changed but, I still go shooting, hiking, lift weights and things but I'm more apt to just take off on my motorcycle with nowhere in mind to go. I do tend to do things more by myself because I feel a lot less dependant on other people for validation.

3) Are you happy with how your life is now?

Absolutely yes.

4) One thing you can change about yourself?

Grow back damn eyebrows!! Haven't plucked in 7 ish years and frequently get told I'll pass better when I let them grow back. [emoji22]

5) The best piece of advice you've ever gotten

Don't judge your insides by everyone else's outsides.

I'm always up for messages too, more friends are always welcome.

The only one of those I'm going to address is the best piece of advice. My ex mother-in-law once told me to listen politely to any advice offered, use what you can, disregard the rest. No need to feel obligated to follow any or apologize for not using any.
