Catherine is good, she phoned me last week, we talk at least fortnightly and she is safe and well.

She is gainfully employed as the g-string adjuster for Magic Mike's Strip Emporium.

I got NBN about 2 months ago, wireless, it's so much better than the flakey connection I was forced to be on. Unlimited up and down. ping is solid, very happy with it.

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, but I was in a car accident yesterday morning. I wasn't hurt, thankfully, but as you can imagine, it definitely shook me up. I was pretty terrible yesterday with lots of small panic attacks throughout the day, but I feel a lot better now. My car got completely wrecked, though, so I need to go shopping for a new one.

There goes my savings... Ah, well, c'est la vie.

Yes, they can. The only good thing that has come out from all of this is I'm probably even closer to my best friend at work than I was before. This friend is also the one that I came out to as transgender a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, when I rang work to let them know about the accident, my friend called me a few minutes later to say she was on her way to pick me up, despite it being her day off. And today, we spent a couple of hours (!) on the phone just chatting about everything.

Fire managers from New Zealand and Australia arrived to contribute to a ground campaign led by firefighters from across the West and augmented by U.S. soldiers

The flames that claimed the lives of three firefighters, injured four others and burned 200 homes also inspired an outpouring of volunteers who have been invited for the first time in state history to help battle the blazes.

I hope they brought the rain!

I'm an ex professional fire fighter. It's a seasonal job so it's good when they send us overseas to help out.

Beautiful day today - and not even spring yet! Went into town and walked past the Opera House and round the Botanic Gardens. Caught up with one of the events for Wear It Purple day in Hyde Park and had a bit of a chat.

And yes I was suitably attired, not too scarily I hope.

Some interesting comments today at work about LGBTI. Quite a few people in purple but not me.
