Two Italian priests defy bishops on marriage issues

In another disciplinary case involving a wayward Italian priest, the newspaper La Repubblica reports that in Piagge, Italy, Father Alessandro Santoro, has written to Cardinal Ennio Antonelli of Florence, informing him that in the spring he will preside over a church wedding for a 63-year old transsexual and her husband, who were married civilly in 1983.
