So most transgender girls transition when they discover the word "transgender" or "transsexual" somehow on the internet or on tv or from other people. I found something completely different. I found the crazy aunt of MTF trans - gender: feminization hypnosis when I was looking for like minded people who want to be the opposite sex. I am not sure why I didn't find the word transgender on the internet first.  I wish I did... But anyway, I found feminization hypnosis on the internet. More specifically I found YouTube videos of peoples attempt at feminization hypnosis.

The videos promised something that I wanted: transformation into a girl. I had no other outlet for my feelings or any other information so I watched a lot of those videos. I am not sure if any of you have seen any but most of them are up there for sexual stimulation of sorts and not really trying to turn you into the opposite sex.  I kinda got into that side of things because I was just developing as a teenager and you can read between the lines I guess.

Feminization hypnosis hasn't really worked for me due to a lot of them just being "garbage." But it was what I found first. Eventually, like years after I found feminization hypnosis, I found about transgender and transsexual. I found YouTube channels about transition timelines and hormone vlogs and other stuff I should have found first.

It has taken some time for me to outgrow feminization hypnosis and wise up to the reality of being transgender which I believe I am, without the help of fh.

Do I still watch feminization hypnosis? Actually yes. I have become a snob of sorts and only watch videos/listen to positive and trans affirmation videos. For example, there is a guy name David Bradley that created a channel last month that has really great affirmation videos. Let's see, there is a channel that also has good quality sample videos by a guy or organization called Cheetu. If you google, Cheetu feminization, you can buy files. I don't buy anything because I am a closet transgender girl and don't want my parents to find out about my gender issues by looking at my bill.

So there. I really wish I found transgender when I was just over 12 years old. But hey, "Real 'greatness' is what you do with the hand you're dealt," and the internet dealt feminization hypnosis instead of transgender.

There's whole 'nother world out there ladies. (there maybe masculization hypnosis out there somewhere too). Feminization hypnosis is a cool idea and I wish it worked better in making me think more feminine. It could just be me. You may have your own beliefs and ideas about hypnosis in general, and that's cool. I may seek professional hypnotists who do feminization hypnosis just as a treat for me once I start the real transition  ;). By that I mean hormones.

So thanks for reading about the weird phenomenon known about feminization hypnosis and getting to know a little about how I stumbled onto the gender variant world!

If you want to comment about this please do so and feel free to ask questions! I, unfortunately, have a lot of knowledge on the subject.

Like you said, I first discovered the word transgender in 1992 in an article from a LGBT magazine. At that time, there wasn't even much of a surfable internet, and YouTube might as well have been something of science fiction. Had YouTube been then what it is now, I would have found the courage to transition in my early teens. Anyway I digress. I've seen the videos you speak of and yes, most of them are garbage. Sadly it's just not possible to get wider hips, a slimmer waist, and a bigger booty from sitting at your computer watching black and white shapes and swirls set to the tune of annoying static. However, that being said I did actually order a set of 5 feminization hypnosis sessions in the form of mp3 files. I had low expectations going into it so I wasn't super disappointed when I didn't wake up with DD boobs 😕. They're set up more like a self help/motivational recording than hypnosis. For that they do seem to actually help me. Basically it puts to words my thoughts and fantasies of how my should have been. Cute idea, but sadly just an idea. Those are just my thoughts.

Hi -

I appreciate that you don't want to come out and that matter colors everything you do and say until you do.  That's not invitation for you come out, only a perspective that seems to frame your post.  It's not good or bad either; it's the way it is now and nothing more significant.  You'll be out when you are ready, just know that it can be bit crazy making at times until you do . . . then, well it's a whole different crazy but yep, crazy none the less.

It sounds as if there's little doubt about your gender identity from your posts - just doubts about the impact, at least superficially if not clear down to your little ole toesies . . . you seem to know.  Anyway, you know you better than anyone and I respect that.

You might ask yourself if anything will satisfy your hunger to explore, know and be until until you resolve your true identity, however that may come be.  That requires some openness on your part and a willingness to deal with the world that can be less than fully welcoming - but the world is full of surprises too.

Do take good care and keep talking.  It's all those conversations you have that create the transformation you are looking for.

All the best,

Rachel

I have not examined any of these videos.  I don't think that they could cause your body to "physically" change.  However. I could see how they might be useful to alleviate anxiety, produce clear thinking, and develop a more positive view of ourselves.  Especially for this older transitioner with decades of male socialization and interactions any tool to break through the clutter would be appreciated.

My experience is similar to yours. I used to try a lot of hypnosis videos to see how they worked. I found the feminization ones had a strange draw for me. That helped me process the fact that some of my problems might have had to do with gender.

I've found hypnosis has had a positive impact on my life. I was able to get some very minor breast growth through hypnosis (pre-HRT, it was all I had) and have used it to help me get used to being my female self.

I'm really skeptical about that type of stuff, and it doesn't really seem like hypnosis videos would much of anything for you. The videos may be helpful if they are kind of an outlet for you, but you should consider that the important thing is that you are watching the videos because you want to be more feminine in the first place. You sound pretty trans to me. First, you should seek an LGBT friendly therapist, specifically one who has a lot of experience with trans people. It can help clarify things sometimes and help keep your expectations reasonable, you need them for letters for hormones (except for IC clinics) and for surgery, for guidance on coming out, and because there are a lot of other issues that trans people frequently have deal with like depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. Once you have come out to yourself, a therapist and often a trans support group are the next steps.

That is a new one for me. I've never heard of that. Its certainly not going to change you physically, which is one of the things that allows you to feel better about yourself. I suppose in conjunction with therapy and physical transformation it might be helpful, but alone it sounds very limited.

Actually, I'm not convinced of that. I was able to achieve a small about of breast growth pre-HRT (to my surprise and amazement - I didn't think it would work).

I had a long career as an anesthetist and trained with physicians who utilized hypnosis in specialty clinics.  I used hypnosis in my practice and describe it as a focused state of suggestibility.  Basically all hypnosis is self induced and may involve guided imagery but is nothing magical.  We can produce a lower hart rate and blood pressure with such a state, reduce pain and more that involves direct and measurable results.  People use hypnosis successfully to quit smoking or make other desired personal changes.  In that very relaxed state we can accept suggestion that may dwell in our subconscious.  People with a good sense of imagination, like children, are very capable of entering a hypnotic state or that too spooky word "trance"

Hypnosis is just as often used as a parlor trick, gimmick or plot device for B movies and it is good to remember that correlation is not causation.  Since puberty I felt I had female breasts and imagined them real.  I tried other methods but it was not till my hormonal level changed that they actually developed.

And then it does feel good to keep those dreams and our imagination alive and growing ;D

more important than physical change is how you appear. your image is much more important. One should access the subconscious mind to make changes that will help us to walk, talk, act automatically feminine, including facial expressions, and gestures. Trying to act like a woman is usually fake and obvious it has to be automatic. This is how hypnosis and self-hypnosis can help a transsexual, and also a crossdresser.
