Hi all,
My FTM husband (37) and I (44) have been together for 13 years and have two children. Within the last month, he told me he wants to transition to becoming a man, and we told the kids (age 7), our families and his workplace. He is now going by his chosen name everywhere in our lives. He has a surgery consult later this month and a hormone therapy consult next month. Things have been moving super quick as you can see, but that is pretty normal for us - we may take a while to figure things out, but once we do, we move! LOL
I am looking for spouses who have supported their ftm partners through transition. I haven't found many resources for spouses of FTM. I'm also looking to connect with folks who are parents and guiding their children through a parent's transition. Our kids have been simply amazing - their response was basically, "well when we were younger, we thought mommy was a boy, so we were right and you were wrong." Out of the mouths of babes!!!
Looking forward to connecting with other folks in similar places in their lives!
