Hi,
so I just passed 9 months on HRT, been living fulltime for 3 months now. (Age 30)  I don't have many issues with passing, but get ocassional "wtf" looks from strangers.

Debating on getting rhinoplasty and mentoplasty(chin reduced).  Had 2 consults already, neither doctor felt I was that masculine.  Still feel I need it though, should I get FFS? Wait a bit longer? How say you?

My 2.5 cents is that I'd wait until at least 2 years. I got a big nose too , but I'm not into any surgery except GRS.

At nine months, you will have only just tipped your hormonal equlibrium over into a female environment.

Hold off surgery as long as you can. I am at fourteen months - and still changing every couple of weeks ...

Your frontal make-up shot looks great! I think you already pass without make-up in your photos.

Well, you certainly don't need FFS to pass as female, with or without makeup!

I'm waiting 2 years for FFS. I'm at 9 months as well. I was considering it in 2016 but I'm typically very busy in an election year so the disruption doesn't go over well.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

No, you do not need FFS.

100% correct.

Here's where it's going to get confusing though.  I would be willing to bet my life that every one of the major FFS surgeons you might consult with will tell you flat out that you need FFS.  That's what they do, and many already-passable and already-pretty girls end up having needless and expensive plastic surgery that, well, often looks kinda artificial and weird in my opinion.  If you pass naturally, then leave your face alone, at least in terms of extensive FFS.

If there's anything in particular that bothers you about your face though, by all means consult a plastic surgeon, but stay in control of the consultation and don't get talked into all kinds of other things.  You certainly don't need FFS, but if you want some plastic surgery, go for it.

No, I don't see a need for FFS. As stated above, I'd wait and see where the hormones will take you. You look great already. I'd give it another year before you consider it.
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

You definitely don't need it. You look great with or without makeup. I'm just over 21 months and even with makeup I still look like a dude. Though I haven't updated my picture in a while, I still look the same.

Wow, I'm kinda in shock!  I must be way over critical on myself.  Hard to argue with this many similar comments.  I shall give it more time!

If anything I may look into combining rhinoplasty at the same time as breast augmentation when that day comes next year.

Thank you.😊 ❤

There is some camera distortion in those pictures but from what I can see, there isn't anything that should be surgically altered on your face. I only had two things done in the picture of myself. My adams apple was bad and the nose had a nasty hump in the bridge. The adams apple is gone and the nose cleaned up but still about the same size. Many of us don't need FFS if we are willing to wait and see what the hormones have in store for us. In your case, I think you are already have a good start on not only a passable but attractive face.

One other thing about the nose job. The best thing about it you can't see. My passages were partially blocked and the doctor opened them up for me. I can now walk at a fast pace without breathing through my mouth.

You don't need it. One thing that convinced me to seriously consider transitioning (I'm pretty ugly currently pre everything) was really examining the women around me for masculine features. Take a look especially at the ladies that wear a lot of make up. There's some "masculine" about literally every average woman, no matter the age. Do this for a few weeks and then see how you see yourself.

Personally I think you are very pretty and you are making me very jealous.

I don't think you need it by those pics. If you feel like you need it then yes. Not all surgeons will try to sell you procedures that you don't need. Mine talked me out of some things that I thought that I needed. Be informed if you go and realize that you may not be seeing all of the effects of HRT yet.

You do look great and you will most likely still feminize a little more in the face. For me there was a big change at first the 3 1/2 month mark, then at the 9 month and 12 month mark and still things are changing. By 24 months pretty much all the changes that are going to happen with HRT will have happened.

We are often our own worse critic. I would wait and see but really I don't thing you need any FFS and it's only going to get better.

I think you are fine without ffs.
But mind my hypocrisy, regardless of how good I might look, I still want to do it all.

With or without makeup you look like a cisgender woman, 100%. Nothing can clock you.

So FFS ? No. If you don't like yourself, you can get plastic surgery like any woman. But FFS is about feminization and you're already totally feminine.

Personnally I don't see the point of plastic surgery either, you're rather cute. And I'm generally against these things. But it's up to you. ^_^

Tell me what your definition of "man" and "woman" is, I'll tell you which I am. Not the other way around.

You don't need it no, you look great. If you want ffs though, then do it, just keep it subtle and stick to your guns.

People told me I didn't need ffs, my parents spent a good while trying to talk me out of it, but I went ahead (eventually with their full support). I don't regret it for a second. Hormones were never going to change my nose and chin to any great extent. Whilst I often passed ok beforehand, I still sometimes got those funny looks... It depended on the lighting I think! FFS just removed those little tells.

I'm not dead against surgery as long as it's been thought through and with the right surgeon the results can be very natural. Actually in your case the results would definitely be natural because you would only need subtle changes.

By all means wait though, you don't lose anything by being patient 😊
