Just sharing what happened and how I reacted. This is happening to me, but the first time it got this intense. So thought I could share.

Passing brings up classical female problems. At times it is flattering, but I suppose with the time it will just become something that bothers me, like it does most women out there.

I get comments while walking streets. It is not like on that video from the US I watched. Typical Dutch have been fairly polite with me so far, except when I happen to stumble on one that is drunk and wants sex [preferably for free]. They'd be just sitting or barely walking without intent to even follow, lol. But I am also getting sexual comments and men following me for a period of time. When that happens, they have been black without exception.

It doesn't last for long and it usually doesn't bother me significantly. However, last Thursday night one man followed me from the half of a street, over a square, along two other streets and back along the two streets and further (a square and a street), until I found a square that was swarming with the police. That was more than 1km of following and saying things like:

- You like big ones? I've got ... (sound with tongue)
- Nice ass.
- Sexyyy!
- (Making kissing noise that sounds like tearing nylons)
- What is it on your phone?
- Wanna call me?
- Good legs.
- (Dog panting)
- I've got something for you
- Like lollipops?

The next level, I don't expect this guy to be exactly fan of transwomen. So, if I got clocked, I could expect a violent reaction even.

But so far all everyone did is talk. My best defense is to avoid any interaction and keep phone ready and out of harasser's reach. Keep walking! I spotted him because I accidentally stopped to type something in the phone and he passed me without taking eyes off me. Then I paid more attention and noticed he was following me. So he probably started earlier than I know.

Sadly some guys get off on that kind of behaviour. You shouldn't have to put up with that but unfortunately it is a common occurrence. I've had a few weird and unsettling experiences from guys but maybe because I'm so tall they tend to keep their distance.

Thanks for replying.

It is not like I would mind some action. I have still got the T in me.
But one night stands are past, I want more now. And I prefer to meet a new guy in a less weird way.\

About height, I'm 6'. But this is the Netherlands, people are tall.

That guy seemed interested only in harassing you and making you feel uncomfortable. Sounds like a major league loser.

What a horrible experience!

I'll be in Amsterdam in 2016 for the WPATH conference. Maybe a 1000 transgender people descending on Amsterdam may have a clean up effect!

I've learned the best way to help your self is always travel where there are a lot of people around. plan ahead were your going, always be aware of escape plans. These people are out there and you just need to put that info in your plans where ever you go. Sometimes its unavoidable, but being aware of where your at helps. Then there is always pepper spay directly to the eyes if things go wrong. I've been physically assaulted because I left my guard down.

They do not take in mere observers, right?

Sounds like a nasty experience.  I saw something similar in Amsterdam years ago.  Drugged out individuals, homeless maybe,  following people.  It is off putting.

I lived in the Netherlands for 7 years and can honestly say that they are very tolerant and well behaved people so Im sorry to hear of your experience.

In the big cities Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht etc...there are lots of dodgy people around at the nighttime and weekends.
