Hello,

I'm Christy. I used to come here some time ago but stopped. I don't even have my old info anymore so I had to make a new account. I see the place has been updated. I enjoyed coming here a lot but the page did remind me of my early days on the net in the late 90's.  :D So now it's all new and looks to have more information as well.

I've moved to a new area and will begin living part time as a woman very soon. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of Concord, NC or knows anything about it. It's a mid-sized city that seems to be growing as there are a lot of out of state license plates on the road. There are just two problems. One, it's still the south and two (though this is not a problem of this area alone or any one state) there seem to be no trans groups in the area. Internet searches turn up zero.

Any advice for living part time as a woman? I plan to go to work as male but spend my weekends as my real self. Maybe one day I can come out at work too as pretending to be someone I'm not is getting very old especially when I get asked if I have a girlfriend, wife, family etc. AWKWARD! For now though it's just the weekends.

Hello and welcome back  :)

Well you might look at lgbt places... or plannedparenthood, there might be counseling there... and maybe even some groups...

you might also have a look at meetup for groups...

Hi Christy, welcome back to Susan's. I would check out the non binary section. If you could explain a bit more, then I could respond more specific to your situation. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Hi Christy,
Welcome back from someone else who was gone a long time and came back.  You might try contacting NC TG Unity to see if they can connect you to a close by support group.

You mentioned the late 90's.  Were you here on Susan's then?  If so I know we must have talked at one time or another.

Hugs and welcome back,
Beverly
