I have been told that even before T, if you shave it makes you look less feminine. Just for the fact that girls have super fine peach fuzz and guys don't when they shave.

Any opinions on this?

I've heard the same thing, and I'm not sure if it has any truth to it.

I shaved pre-T because I had something of a mustache happening (well, darker vellus hairs, anyway) and a few stray terminal/androgenic hairs on my jawline. It certainly made me feel better shaving, even if you had to be within a foot of me (and within my personal bubble) to see the difference.

If you're considering it, I can't see the harm in trying it out.

I didn't shave Pre T and I haven't been shaving 1 month into T either and part of that's because I know I won't pass until I'm on T for awhile for voice and other reasons.

I do have the peach fuzz but I'm not sure that anyone would notice unless they were super close to my face. I also have a few dark hairs that are noticeable from a short distance, but I can't say whether or not they're hindering my passing ability.

People usually gender me when I talk, I've had people gender me correctly when I haven't; but I doubt I was close enough for them to see the hairs on my face.

I've shaved for years because of the peach fuzz, and the weird chin hairs I get. When I started shaving, my mom would say, "Boys shave, girls pluck their hairs." And I'd just nod and keep shaving. I don't shave every day, just when I start to notice the weird hairs getting unruly.

Getting rid of the peach fuzz does help you pass -- people do notice it. I started shaving before I went on T, and I also found that it made me feel better...

I shave to get rid of the fuzz (which I do think helps) and because otherwise I do get a bit of a scraggly goatee going on (PCOS), plus it makes me feel really good to do it.

I've been thinking about doing it just to practice, but I'm worried about razor burn - I used to get it when i shaved elsewhere and my brothers get it so I imagine we've got the same genetic predisposition to sensitive skin :/

I've also considered shaving my hairline to masculinise the shape, but it seems a bit extreme... does anyone actually do it? i feel like i should enjoy my hair before it falls out! lol

I don't actually remember when I started shaving. Not sure if it was a few weeks before or after I started T. I can't say it helped me pass any more or less than I already was.

I do think it helped make my facial hair follicles more active. I'm not sure if that's actually a thing or not, but I think shaving my entire face/sideburns/neck region helped the hair growth start.

I think it's good practice though either way!

Apparently the thing about shaving making hair thicker is because when it initially grows, it grows in tapered, and shaving it makes it grow back blunt because you shaved of the tapered part. So it appears thicker but isn't necessarily 'stimulated' or whatever. My source for this is my incredibly hairy boyfriend so don't quote me tho

and I dont shave, I guess it makes me feel slightly better to see hair on my face even if its just peach fuzz

I shave and I'm pre t, I'm not sure if people can like clock you just because of some peach fuzz (especially since I'm a teenager anyway so I'm expected to look like a baby) but I've found using an electric trimmer thing to like square my sideburns and trim all my face is great and masculinising. And it feels all stubbly so that's a pro. And I mean square sideburns make you pass no matter how short they are you look 10x manlier with it square there than with it going into a point.

I've shaved a few times, and it makes me feel better, but no one notice it. My peach fuzz is very fine anyway. I don't think anyone would notice it unless they were standing very close to my face.

I shave my face, which no one has ever noticed, but I also shave my hair line, squaring it up and making it look like i have those slightly receded points that most men have.  I have a small electric face razor that I use to do it every day, and it greatly helped my passing level.  I pass quite a bit until I open my mouth and speak, haha.  The face shaving didn't improve my personal passing level, though.    But it is kinda fun to do!

I shaved pre-T, partly because I had a lot of vellus hairs (I once had a hair stylist jokingly call me a 'fuzzy little animal' lol) and partly because it made me feel good.  Now I shave because I'm too scraggly to keep any facial hair and look halfway decent. 

I shave a little bit of my hairline to make it more squared. I used to need to do it every other day but now it's only every now and then, it was already on the thinner side in those regions pre-T and it thinned out further in those sections ...thankfully that's the only place, I'm holding out hope it stays that way since neither side of my family lost hair before their 70's.

I shave even though I don't actually need to. It definitely makes me feel better. Probably doesn't actually help me pass, but if someone is trying really hard to peg me as one or the other, it definitely isn't going to hurt. I definitely encourage squaring your side burns every couple weeks though. That will make a difference.

No idea. But I've been shaving since I was a teen - it made no sense to me if I was (as a girl) supposed to shave my body hairless but also sported a tiny mustache?)

I remember telling a few guys about my shaving habits back when they thought I was a girl. They found it interesting, but not that interesting since all the women they knew waxed their upper lip anyway. I don't think anyone noticed unless I told them.
