Reporting from the LGBT Center Boys Town Chicago: I have just spotted a girll in her 30's with light blue show.. I think I just spotted another one , but she had drk skin so not totally sure, she was about 20. So there definitely seems to be a regional difference. Side note there have been no sightings of males with eye show in either district.s. Investigation continues

Here in the NW i live close to a college campus and i think the younger girls wear it, but generally it is pretty light and subtle. I always see that look: Very light eye shadow, eye liner and mascara.

The exception to that is i am seeing more "cat eye" eyeliner at night on women. I like the look but i find my skill in getting there to be lacking.

My normal wear these days for work is light shadow, a bit of primer, brown eyeliner and clear or light mascara. I don't generally go for concealing the facial shadow. (thankfully mine is slight) except at nights or when i go out shopping etc. I do wear a bit of concealer daily under my eyes.

usually just have lashes, eyeliner an a little natural foundation. I don't do lipstick normally because I'm too lazy and my lips look alright with out If I go out to a bar which is very rare I'll do lipstick for fun.

I absolutely love bringing out my eyes! However, I'll now go for the gunmetal shade from Naked rather than purple, unless I'm going for a gothic look.

Yeah I usually go with #2 but I sometimes go in with #3 and I throw some glasses on to help give dimension to the eyes ;)

Wish I could look like #1 all the time w/o all the effort though hahah

I used to wear very heavy eyeshadow, almost every single day, until I slowly realized 90% of cis women in public had no eyeshadow on. I wanted to blend in so I stopped wearing eyeshadow altogether. Only eyeliner and mascara for me. Excessive eye makeup seems to be a common "trans" look.

I think you make a great point about blending....I guess the trick is not to overdo it....

I use it everyday.  I use the Urban Decay naked pallets as well as some wet and wild and Sephora brand colors. I generally go with natural colors and a 3 color combo.

I apologize if I'm stepping out of place. I'm FTM, but I have to do the feminine thing for work.

When I'm wearing eye makeup, I use a neutral shade from Clinique called Straw berry Fudge with a Maybelline black pencil eyeliner and the Manga mascara. The last two have to be waterproof because of my contacts.

Eye makeup can be very downplayed and kind of natural looking. Examples:

Yes I got clocked for wearing too much make up. I don't make it as dramatic now but I admit being a cake face quite often :o

You're lucky, I wish I could look like # 2 without all the effort. If I half ass it, or go without make-up, I usually end up looking like... well... "number two".

I love my urban decay eye shadow palettes! I only usually wear makeup when I'm dressing up for something, or know I'm going to be taking a posed formal picture. But when I do, I do my eye makeup all the way. If I'm in a rush and want to look good for school or something I'll just do a little eye liner and lip gloss. But I can get away with less makeup because of my skin. It can get splotchy at times, but the creams I use usually make it go away pretty quick after showering.

I'm only adding this comment in the interest of diversity.

I haven't worn makeup of any kind since my last job interview, in 2003. I used to love doing the whole thing, but finally got bored with the time it took every day. Then I found out I could pass without makeup. I applaud those of you with the stamina to do makeup. I'd rather not.

I love Autumn's more extreme look, but here is a simple eye shadow / mascara look (ignore her eyebrows, yes they are painted on...).

I suppose if you are trying to blend in, do what others in your circle do. I'm just not about blending in! I'm glam-punk-goth-trans and proud!
