Hello,I am Lisa and live fulltime as female now.I knew that I was really female since I was 3 years old and it was a long time secret I held on to.It was finally 2 years ago I finally came out and it was rough.My mom said out of her house and not to come back.My dad,I am 100% lucky to have him in my life and he has been good to me ever since.Still loves and accepts me.I am Married and worked things out.It was very tough with my wife coming to terms with this and includes my son whom is 16.We are back to a family now and they see I have a better life now.Wife calls me Lisa now,we go to a support group for wives with a spouse that is transgendered and this has helped us out.

I decided not to go through the transition and I do see a therapist.Diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria and I am doing better.My wife and I do go out more,shopping and getting our nails done are two things we do together.

Thanks and mom does not want me in her life anymore including her side of the family.They call me being transgendered forbidden.My dad's side of the family loves and accepts me still also.Love me for who I am.

Sorry you lost your mom, although it sounds like you are better off without all the ignorant bigotry.

So glad things are going well with your wife and son. Remember not to transition faster than they can fly.

Take things slowly, and that more extensive transition might still be in your future. Never say never.

My mom and I never got along and I have been taking it slowly.My son has adjusted very well to seeing me as a woman.He does get harassed at school a few times and I did get the call from school every time it happened.My son says I am a normal dad still.I have a couple surgeries so far,breast augmentation last year and a trachea shave this year

Welcome aboard Lisa!  Glad to hear of the support you received from family.  Knowing at a young age and living it as a secret is big.  Same with me.  Main thing is that we survive to that point that we realize that we do have the power to be who we know we are. <3

My dad's side of the family has been great about it.I was in the closet about it for a long time and no longer now
