For those of you who have been on testosterone for a fair amount of time...

Are you pleased with your appearance compared to before?

I think I want to try to get on testosterone, I'm well aware of the effects of it, but I have mostly vain concerns about it. Like how it will make my face look(I don't want to have a round or puffy looking face more than I already have a roundish face) and I don't want to end up looking too much like my dad I guess. (other vain concerns are losing my hair and getting a 'beer belly'/'pot belly' you see on a lot of guys. :P )

Yes, very satisfied. My hair line changed, I actually lost a lot of the puffiness in my face, I've slimmed down all around. The only thing I'm waiting on is for the acne to clear up.

Haven't lost any hair, haven't gained any weight in the stomach area.

I've definitely liked myself a lot more since T. I've lost more weight than I wanted to which was AMAZING, before T I had trouble losing weight. So that meant slimmer face, more defined jawline, and more stamina to keep it up. I think if you have a round face like I do, you'll learn to embrace it along with the other T changes that compliment it [emoji4]

I actually hope T will help me get back up to a pretty good weight haha I'm underweight right now from a period of stress and anxiety and not eating well. Whether that weight is muscle or fat, as long as I can gain a little bit, that'd be nice. And get my appetite back up.

I hope T would define my jawline and my cheekbones just a bit more, too.

I know that hormones are what I want to try, I get nervous though, but a lot of that is because my family is not the most supportive.

I have a rounder face as well. My cheeks are still relatively "full" but my super athletic younger brother has the same cheeks so I think that's just our destiny.

With that being said, I am just over 2 years on T and am SUPER happy about my appearance in general, and multiply that times about a million in comparison to pre T. I was never super feminine in body structure and often was read as male before I was ever even trying but comparing current pictures to old pictures, absolutely 100% happy with how it's turned out. I could work out more and enhance that further, just need to do it. I do have a slight receding hairline but I find that I actually kinda like it. I was worried about going bald but honestly the thought doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Beer gut wise - not for me at all. When I'm actually trying and watching what I eat, no worries at all. As referenced above, I've slacked a bit and could use some leaning but I definitely don't have a beer gut whatsoever.

Overall - very happy with my changes body wise.

I like my appearance now much more compared to what it used to be. Even if my looks haven't changed dramatically I feel more comfortable like this.

I gained 10kg (22lbs) within my first year on T but I was kinda skinny to begin with so I had room for all of that. Of course not even nearly all of that is muscle but welcome the gain. I do have a beer gut of some sort but that's purely because my diet is more or less terrible and I don't work out.
Then again, I've always had very effective metabolism that demolishes everything I throw in so gaining weight is actually pretty difficult to me. I abuse this quality of mine all the time.

I don't know if even my hair line's changed, I never really paid attention to it but so far I don't show signs of balding. I might have good genes, at least from my mother's side.

I'm not sure if I ever had a puffy face. I'm really bad at noticing these things. :D But otherwise I feel like I got more chin compared to pre-T? It might be just my imagination or then something has happened.

i'm happier than i was before in terms of appearance. i lost a lot of weight and my face slimmed down, etc. my hairline changed too. the facial hair also helps slim my face. like i had chipmunk cheeks and that is all good and done with now. over all, i feel so much more confident. also the weight gain, etc. only happens if you don't eat right or exercise. so if you're skinny and gain weight, it might be good but you should still watch it and turn that into muscle and bulk instead of getting just fat.

Thanks everyone, this all made me feel a lot better!

And yeah I eat pretty well already, I have to be careful what I eat now since I started a gluten free diet, but I've always ate more whole foods. And hopefully I'll have the energy/motivation to do some weight lifting since crocheting isn't really a high-energy action...

But I really do think that T is going to be good for me. Or at least better than what I'm dealing with now.
