Any other girls out there experience this? My right hip has been sore not for over a week. I had put it down to the weather but it's gone on too long now and the left one is now the same....that never happens. Anybody??

It happens to me sometimes when i try to sleep on side. It could also be related for trying to walk like a woman ( hormones will do that ~pelvic bone rotation and legs going inward ~ but you could unconsciously forcing  yourself to walk unnaturally)

I was told about pelvic rotation so hopefully that's it!!!... I'm well away from even presenting female so if I am walking differently then it's def unconscious...thanks!

I get really painful right hip most days though I think it's my age (58) and living in a cold place rather than HRT

I'm 57 and do get occasional hip pain but it never lasts like this is lasting. Also I live in south east Texas so not exactly a cold climate... :)

They say your bones are done growing in your teens but I don't know. My hips are wider and it doesn't just feel like fat. They hurt sometimes.

I do definitely have forward pelvic rotation as well.

One month doesn't seem like much time for HRT to have had that degree of effect. I mean, it could be causing some muscle/ligament relaxation which has thrown things out a bit, but it could be any number of other factors. While 57 isn't that old maybe you should get your hips checked just to be on the safe side.

As someone who already walked hundreds of kilometers, part of which in order to learn feminine walk, I can second that unnatural walk will give pain and soon. Before HRT too.

What I ended up doing there is:

  • moving whole legs, as if the primary mass was around the thighs and the rear
  • moving shoulders more parallel if I have to, so never swing with them. Also unlocked them to move up and down as I walk, upon need
  • less movements of arms in shoulders, more in the elbows; keep hands at the waist level at any excuse to do so; keep the upper arms a little apart from the rib cage
  • straightened up my back, as if my breast were not a pair of socks; as if there was some weight

I am happy with results I see in glass while on the streets.

If I connected the dots right, walking may get a little less comfortable once HRT effects start to show, because the bone structure is there as it was, but the rear and thighs get more volume.

Push forward. Step back, but don't look back.

Thanks for the pointers and insight. I agree that one month is early but it's the only thing I've cha recently so other than that I can figure it out. I must try the exercise regime.....anything to help and get away from a masculine gait is worth the effort.

Here are my notes I have made as I monitor everything, see below. MY complete notes are rather long ( full page) !
[Day10 ( 5BP) start of hip girdle ache ( continues for next 12 months as the hips tilt forwards), hot flushes & change of shape, possible boob s bigger? Body hair fine. Shave all body, then use epilation also elimination cream on more delicate parts of body. Weight 93kg. Stopped using hair growth restorer as now not needed, hormones have changed to slow down head hair loss. Pants do not fit properly now & trousers also not fitting now, due to female bum shape.]
