Hi everyone,

As I have become older the fat in my butt has reduced quite a bit and the fat in tummy has increased ...  :o

5 to 10 years ago this was not a problem as the butt was fuller and my tummy less so .....  :)

I will never travel to the States for cosmetic or facial surgery ever again as it's too darn expensive to travel there and the surgeon's prices are now way too dear.

So my question is, does anyone know or better still has had this procedure done in Europe but not the UK? I will also call Facial Team and see if they do it or can suggest someone.

Again I will never have cosmetic or facial surgery done in the UK again because of the poor or simply bad work performed on me down the years.

Hope someone can help ...  :)

Thanks

Paula

I've heard people recommending Dr Alexander Aslani in Marbella, Spain who does the Brazilian Butt Lift / Body Contouring. There's also Dr. Doornaert in Ghent, Belgium.

My heavens, Spain is so efficient.

Never expected them to be open during Christmas, but called and was answered by an English woman who also speaks Spanish fluently.

She was really efficient and lovely to talk to.

Told her I was in Marbella having surgery at the beginning of April, so made an appointment to see the good doctor while I was there.

When I asked about the average price, she said 5490 Euros = £4052.89 !!!!   :o :o :o

I told her that I was amazed and she said " We have a lot of UK patients who think the same ".

I told her that the surgery that I was having with Facial Team was half that it would have been, if done in 'Rip Off UK' !!!

Another appointment ( cost only 85 Euros = £62 - in London surgeon appointments cost on average between £100 to £250  ) that I am looking forward to in relation to my rejuvenation process ...  :)

That was an interesting video. It's something that's been on my radar for a while, but at the moment I've ruled it out because my BMI is only 20.5, and I've always had a hard time putting on weight and I'd need to add another stone or more to get decent results. If I eventually think I can do that then I will go for it.

The obvious difficulty is not sitting for four weeks. I note in the video he says two weeks of not sitting and then two weeks of sitting as little as possible. So in terms of flights back from Spain you'd probably have to be there into a third week ideally. Though I have heard of people arranging with the flight crew to sit down for take off and landing and then being able to stand at the back of the plane for the rest of the flight.

Hi Charlotte,

Yes that's my concern the sitting bit, especially at my age .. LOL    ;D

When I have travelled to the USA from here in the UK, I always walk up and down the aisles every 30 minutes or so and do leg exercises but can you imagine standing for 8 hours or even longer depending on where you live !!!  :o :o

BUT I will be getting it done despite all this.

Hey no pain - no gain  ;) ;) and I am looking forward to sitting on a butt that's not sore to sit on which it is now - ouch, ouch !!!

That's quite awesome price! I've found few prices from their patients and it was around 8000-9000 EUR. It was probably price for combination of fat transfer and implants...

Be shure we will be happy to hear more details after you consult with dr. Aslani !

@Charlotte ... it's usually advised to do this surgery close to your target weight, and not intentionally gain weight for surgery alone. If you would lose that extra weight after surgery, its likely you would also lose some of transfered fat, which would be a shame. Its recommended to not lose any weight for quite a while. For those who dont have ideal 23+BMI, and still want more bigger change, there are two solutions.. combination of implants and fat transfer, or fat transfer done twice with second surgery being done 6-12 months after the first one. And there is always an option to move target weight little higher permanently...

Well I don't mind having a higher weight/BMI permanently if it means that I have fat in the right areas and the rest of me is still slim(ish) in comparison. My issue will be trying to keep the weight on I think, though I am getting older so perhaps that'll be easier.

I can't say I'm keen on the idea of implants around that area though.

Hey girls,

I was just outside getting my car ready for a "New Years Day" gathering locally when I had a brainwave !!! :)

Now why didn't I think of this before?

I am going to ask Dr Aslani if he can also take out most of the fat in my top lip and put it in my butt ... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

See https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,200643.0.html

Yes their price is exceptional and I would not like implants either.

Having had one leaking breast implant removed in 2012 and the other one too, I don't want any more implants in my body.

BUT 6 months ago when I was talking to someone about my breast implants removal, this person said " A surgeon went to all the trouble of removing your implants and then Simon Eccles puts implants back in again ".

I fell about laughing as the person was probably only joking but maybe not.

Reminder to self.

Must call Dr Aslani's clinic in Marbella to go and see him when I am in Spain in three weeks time.

Coincidence but last Friday just as I was about to call Dr Aslani's private clinic in Marbella, his colleague called me and I have made an appointment to see them when I am down there ...  :)

I will let you all know how I got on but might not be until after I arrive back in the UK on April 15th.

He operates in two sections of the same hospital.

Quick question for you Paula. In the time you noticed less fat in butt and more in abdominal area, did you remain on the same HRT regimen?
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Good Morning KayXo,

Yes I have been on the same dose of HRT since transition in 1988 but four years ago my endo put me on Sandrena Gel which I rub into my skin every day. Result is my hormone levels are higher and I now feel much better. Also it saves stress on the liver applying the hormone topically.

Regards my butt, it has not changed significantly down the years, in fact it's a little thinner and my tummy fat has not changed a lot either as I have only a little surplus in the tummy which goes up and down depending on how much I eat.

During my few trips to the USA over the last 12 years, I always put on a lot of weight due to the rather excessive portions out there and eating Culvers burgers, milk shakes etc but lose it all when I get back to the UK.

It could be that they might not be able to do much for me.

But we shalll see because just a little fat transferred to the posterior would be nice.

Hi Paula,

The issue with taking estradiol orally is not so much the stress on the liver as it is clotting because alcohol is far more harmful. Studies have even shown that unlike previously used forms of estrogen which were not bio-identical, bio E had far less of an impact on clotting.

I'm glad you feel better. :) What are your hormone levels by the way?

Two things:

1) bio-identical progesterone (Cyclogest, Utrogestan) often helps with giving one a more rounded, fuller butt.

2) you could check out Zoe Harcombe on healthy eating. I also read her book, might interest you and will dispel some of the myths we have been exposed to, especially regarding the calories in, calories out paradigm. Gary Taubes is also interesting.
