Hi,

It seems that it can cause thinning...

Congrats on being one of the lucky ones.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Congrats! I got lucky there myself. Its such a life saver knowing laser/electrolysis won't be to costly.

How lucky! I can hope but kind of doubt I will share that.

I am too scared to have a beard. The day after I received my hrt letter, I got my first laser treatment.

Yes angélique,  it affects facial hair .   Hairs on my upper lip, chin didnt change but  almost all my hairs on cheeks/jaw thinned, reduced in amount and turned blonde making it harder for my laser therapies.

I noticed same change to my scrotum... Yep i thought i would have to get it done with electrolyse/laser before SRS but it looks like its going away on its own following a female pattern.

I was always told that I was wasting my money by doing laser before HRT because it would thin it out a lot. I still did it because I couldn't stand the sight of it though.

Yeah but it depends wich zone.  the beard 5oclock shadow wont dissapear by itself if you have it so better do laser :)  .  My friend has been on HRT for 4 year , hairs thinned and turned blonde but she has to pluck/shave because she has no money for electrolyse

Oh so jealous of you girls! :)

HRT is working wonders for me, but certainly not in that department lol.  I'm still definitely getting lots of laser.

Anyway, awesome to know it can work for some! :)

The growth of mine has slowed a lot and i totally believes parts of it are more sparse than before.

BTW, laser is NOT always permanent, hairs can come back years after the last session.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience
