Hey everybody, it's been a while since I've posted here, I've popped in and out of the chat lots though.

So at last it's come time to get ready to change my name.

I  know I want Michelle Zelda, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get Steevee in there too (after my grandpa Steve)) but I'm stumbling as to how I'm going to select a last name, because I want to separate myself as much as I kind of can from who I once was.

Also, I'm looking for an answer as to what to do with my hair right now, it's longer than a pixie cut, but it's not long enough to put in a ponytail yet...

Every few days I notice something that makes me think my god am I ever glad I figured this out, it's SO right, I can already tell my emotions are different, and my thought processes are different too.  About every couple or few weeks it seems that the doubt monster attacks though.

Growing out a pixie cut is tough, I've been there too many times at the awkward length phases between a style and something I can almost fake into one. Clips, headbands, pigtails if you can't quite do one ponytail, bandanas, scarves, anything you can accessorize with to get your hair pushed into an almost cohesive style helps. If all else fails there's always the hat route too when appropriate. If you have any wave or curl scrunch it with product to help bring out some texture and hide any choppy areas, curls hide a multitude of wonk if they aren't cut properly. Are you aiming to grow it long? What is your hair type and texture like? Thin or thick, fine or coarse, straight or curly and anything in between? I was a professional hair stylist in another life, one thing to always consider is your hair texture and styling routine when choosing a particular haircut.

A good stylist can tweak just about any picture you bring in to suit your face shape just remember the picture is always a fully styled finished look, if you're a wash and wear type of girl I'd stay away from things like angled stacked bobs or anything with too much layering that will require product, blowdrying, and styling every time you wash your hair. Getting it shaped up a little while growing it out helps a lot too, just simply explain you're aiming to grow it out and need it cleaned up a little but nothing major should be taken from the length. Good luck, Michelle Zelda is a lovely name :)

I'm planning on getting dreadlocks again once my hair gets long enough. Should only be a couple months. I'm thinking the kind that are skinny, make them like tiny pieces of rope.

I've changed my mind about dreadlocks for the time being but still want to grow it between my chin and shoulders, I was thinking maybe like a simple angle bob. My hair is pretty fine but also fairly thick. Makes drying a pain, I like to wash and wear if I can, but I'd kill to be able to do a nice updo as well... I've never worried about this stuff so much before but I love it! Always been a little bit of a prima dona in the hair category and from a young age tried to be a trendsetter with my clothing choices, but at 6, how much can you really do? Always been conscious of how I look. Forgot to shave the other day and wondered why I got clocked at the bathroom lol
