While I build up courage to come out, I have been thinking a lot more about names. I actually had something picked out, then I forgot to write it down, and now I can't remember what it was.

Anyways, I am planning on changing both my first name and middle name, since my first name doesn't have a good feminine version, and as far as I know, David doesn't either(I also have always hated having that as my second name).

Sadly, I also can't just ask my parents what they would have named me if I was born a girl, since they already told me years ago that they only picked out male names... I did also decide to not choose the names of anyone that I know, because that would just be weird.

My middle name was Ann (after my grandmother, if I'm right) so at my dad's request I kept the A initial and went with Andrew (which I believe I also have a family member w/ the name, lol).

Was never too set on the middle name, nor do I sometimes understand the purpose of middle names. Sometimes I even forget my middle name, and when I work with official documents I have to check beforehand. :D

But eh, it gave me pretty cool initials, so I go with it.

I've had a lot of trouble trying to think of my middle name. My first name was easy enough, when I finally made a decision, and now I'm absolutely certain of going with Nicholas for my first name. But my middle name is a much different thing. I've gone through several different ones, and honestly, I'm considering making my middle name the most ridiculous thing I can think of. My parents want me to go with the masculine form of my first name, which would be Shaun, but I'm not too fond of that. Currently, I actually have two middle names, and they mean something to my parents who chose them. One of my middle names was my paternal grandmother's name, and she died when my dad was eighteen, and the other middle name is a sort of tradition on my mother's side. I've been thinking about going with matching initials, but since they're U and M, I'm having trouble thinking of a name beginning with U.

I would ask what my parents would've called me had I been born male, but considering they chose my first name after seeing it a newspaper and liking it, they hadn't really thought of anything else. I want to keep with two middle names, because I quite like it. I've been thinking of Carlisle for a middle name, but I need another one.

Sometimes those baby name sites spark up ideas...  But be sure to use one that lets you choose the name origin!  Some people are fond of Hebrew names, others like Sanskrit names.  Just a thought.  If you don't have one yet, try seeing if there's a particular origin you like :)

I scrapped the middle name.  If I ever marry and decide to take on my partner's last name, I would like to keep my chosen name fully intact, just added to.  Removing my middle name entirely was easier than feminizing my masculine middle name.  Wayne.  Wanda?  Winoa?  Wilma?  Nope, nope, nope!
