I see that some gamers have played the phenomenal game Life is Strange. I'm keeping my 1st post strictly spoiler free but be warned that later posts will contain spoilers.
Any spoilers could ruin this game for those who haven't played it yet so this topic is aimed at those who have played the game & wish to discuss the story & how it affected them.

Personally, every episode made me cry, no game has ever had such a powerful emotional effect on me & I cannot recommend this game highly enough

I really enjoyed it, it's not a perfect game by any means, but it was very engaging and I also cried at every episode. It's also got a cool soundtrack. I'd recommend it too, especially if people enjoy games with choices rather than one completely linear story. It's a bit heavy in it's subject matter though, lots of potentially upsetting content.

It says a lot about the subject matter when the start screen informs you that the developers have set up a website for anyone effected by the issues in the game.

Kate's part in the story was deeply upsetting for me but very respectfully handled.
Dontnod have hinted that a second season of Life is Strange will have an all new cast, considering how tactfully they handled subjects such as depression, bullying and even euthanasia I think they are one of the few companies I'd trust to tackle trans issues to raise awareness amongst the gaming community.

Yeah I agree, they handled the subject matter very sensitively, I think. In many circumstances I would have been very upset by some of the subjects, but they handled it in a way that made me feel reasonably safe the whole time. I would love to see more games featuring trans characters, especially main characters. I think they would do a good job if they were to address this, yeah :)
