i'm meant to have my hormone blocker every 21 days without fail but today the nurse is ill and had to go home and the other nurse at my gp says she wont do it because she doesn't feel trained enough to do it and aaagh i'm stressing because i don't my er reproductive system to start up again i don't want to have the monthly apocalypse and like how hard is it to read and follow the instructions and stab me in the ass. all the other nurses have managed to read the instructions and follow it, even i could do it because you just follow the instructions on the packet to mix it and then ya stab me in the ass and its all chill (but obviously i am not allowed to do my own injection, this is the NHS) but im scared that the monthly cycle will start up again or itll cause problems.

I have no professional knowledge in the following but it seems legally wrong for a doctor or nurse to not do something that could put your health and well being at risk. There certainly is emotional/anxiety trauma now. Is there a number you could call to make a complaint?

I would definitely call and complain. Most doctors will go out of their way to ensure that you're able to continue getting prescribed medication on time as needed. If you call, they may find someone who will do it for you ASAP.

I was too late in transitioning for blockers to do anything, but in my experience in being on T and going off for 1 month for surgery, I was fine. No spotting whatsoever. But obviously my residual T levels still would've been higher than yours with just blockers. I would definitely call, I think your concern is legitimate.

Every nurse & gp who has administered my t blocker so far has said I was their first (I feel so special), each and every person has followed the instructions supplied & there have been no issues.
I suggest that you phone your practice first thing Monday and request to speak to your practice manager, if a staff member is not comfortable administering medication then they should find a staff member who can give you your shot rather than refusing to treat you.
