Hello loves!

So basically, I was unsure whether or not to post this, as I felt i may seem a bit silly, but I though, what the heck!

Ive been planning for a long time to get FFS, and so far, its looking like this year is going to be the year I can get it done, all I have to do is pay my car off, then I can get a loan from my bank, and go ahead with it. I am wanting to go abroad to get my surgery, specifically Thailand.

However, I am quite scared and concerned about how to plan it all, so I wanted to know if anyone had gone abroad for plastic surgery... alone.
I will have to go alone as my parents cannot afford to go with me.
Is it basically like booking a normal holiday?
i know this seems like a stupid question, but Ive never been abroad on my own, and knowing I would have to go for a number of weeks, and be alone, is kind of intimidating.

So is it a case of booking flights, hotel etc. Then on top of that, pre booking to visit the surgeon/hospital (I am wanting to go to Yanhee by the way)

If anyone can help, with what seems like such a stupid post, it would be very appreciated

Don't know about Thailand, but I know quite a few people have gone to Buenos Aires on their own.  I was in BA from Sept 14, through Oct 9 2015.  I did not have any issues, but I'm a self reliant person.  I've read others who said they could not have done it without support.

I traveled with my sister to Prague for her tummy tuck and new breasts. You are one hundred percent right. Staying abroad alone could be really depressing. Fortunately my sister found Forme clinic, where she had accomodation too. I visited her several time and was really suprised by the high standart of service. I think, this atmosphere helped her throughout her surgery. I totally agree with you, you have to find best surgeon no matter where he is located. I'm happy that my sister was succesful.

When I did my extensive FFS research I was also considering one surgeon in Thailand, which wich I had personal consultation. But at the end I decided to go with a surgeon in Europe, because the results of the surgeon from Thailand where also quite good, but too "asian"...

Yes basically it is like booking a vacation, sort of. Best is to talk to the patient coordinator about some issues when booking the surgery. They can usually recommend hotels that are clean and close to the clinics - or you can go ahead and look for something like booking.com to find good hotels in the city. It also makes sense to read general travel information like how to make sure to not be ripped off by the taxi dirvers and if it is needed to take a taxi or other transport exists (In Seoul, Korea, the subway was much better than taxi, same can be said for Barcelona, Spain). Theny basically you book a flight - if possible get a direct flight or one that has a short transfer in a safe country (I once had a 5 hour transfer in Bejing, China and it was horrible - I cannot imagine how it would have been if I had a male passport or such). You basicaly take all you would take for a regulkar vacation plus the things the patient coordinator suggests. It sure is nicer to travel with someone, but its not always an option. Some surgeons have accomodations to offer that have some other people there who had surgery - I think Suporn puts all his patients in the same hotel, some FFs surgeons have peferred hotels, Dr O used to have a "safe house" for his patients that also had someone like a nurse to help people, Facialteam also had this for a while, now they have a more commercial version - a hotel that has nurse services... Dr Barts clinic also seem to have such a recovery house... maybe that is an option.
In some countries it may be hard to get food you are used to, asian countries often have not much in terms of cheese, bread, butter, milk, cereals and meat may be very expensive occasionally (in Korea it was luxury to get cheese and meat), but if you are a slight bit adventurous, it may even be an interesting experience
