I have been looking at recent posts by girls looking for advice etc on which FFS surgeon to go to.

This is a life changing operation and if things go wrong for whatever reason, then life afterwards can be devastating.

It can also be very expensive to put right as I know only too well. Some patients effectively have to pay twice which is terrible.

Reading some of the recent posts, it appears that some of you have not looked back at all the wonderful information posted on her although be careful because some of it may be biased or misleading.

There are some posts from girls who have had problems with a particular surgeon or surgeons.

The moderators have a job to do that I do not envy checking posts on here and is not a job that I would ever want to do.

May I take this opportunity to thank them all.

There is a private message facility on here which can be very helpful but again beware that whoever you contact does not give you bad/false/misleading or simply biased advice again.

I have recently had private messages from some members that were clearly biased and misleading.

So please please girls, do your research very carefully and thoroughly before committing yourself to any one surgeon(s).

This is advice from someone who transitioned nearly 30 years ago, so have been around the block a few times .... LOL
