So I just felt a little "anti-trans" from somewhere close to me....

It was a facebook friend/ex co-worker of my wifes..

Im assuming he saw my profile through mutual friends... but I dont know this for certain.

Although he didnt really say hateful or viscous things... the point hit me hard when my wife read it to me

One of our mutual friends defended us, though no names were mentioned on either side as of yet

sadly 2 of my wifes good real life friends also liked his post... (they do not know about me, that Im aware of)

I havent had to deal with this yet and Im sure this is mild, I get that... but its a little disconcerting and Im wondering how you deal with it and what I should do to get it off my mind

Basically hes claiming god doesnt make mistakes and people need to stop accepting and defending this disgusting behavior

I will say I have had way more positive energy and comments than bad... so the glass is way more than half full ;D

Big hug! You ignore people like that. Although, if your friend is talking to God, maybe he could get us a little insight on the Powerball numbers?  ;D

Hugs, Devlyn

I'm not into religion, but sure god doesn't make mistakes. Your just they way he intended, which means this other person is not living according to god. I can't imagine that's a good thing.

It seems to me just common sense that the last person in the whole universe you would want to attribute false teachings or hatred to would be the Lord God Almighty. In times of trouble I sure wouldn't  want to be on the wrong side of God. The God of love and creation doesn't make a habit on turning his/her back on any of his/her creation.

Thank you for the replies ;D

I have so many emotions about it... part of me wants to be mad, part is sad, part of me wants to write and explain...but Ive been around long enough to know that people like that cant listen or understand any point of view other than their own.

I just need to let it roll off.....

He is feeling threatened by you because you challenge his ideology which is a very powerful thing in humans...people KILL for ideas, for religion. You can explain that you were born this way just as some XY men develop into women because they are androgen insensitive or some develop with ambiguous genitalia because of genetic mutations. You are no different. You brain is female, the rest of you developed as male. This phenomena is also observed in nature where species have both a female and male apparatus...think of the bonobos where same sex animals sexually interact with each other, etc. God created a world full of diversity, one just needs to take a look at the world of animals. Black and white, man and woman without anything in between is an idea created by man which is in stark contrast to reality.

Your friend is ignorant and the more he becomes aware of reality, of what lies in it, the less likely he is to persevere in his ideas. He has been wrongly conditioned and misinformed.

Accepting and loving someone, even in the face of their disapproval, threats, can be powerfully transformative. Don't lash back. ;)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Very good post :).

Religions are not supposed to be a negative thing, but the way humans apply it usualy lead to this kind of behavior.

We're probably too evolved for them with their slow understanding brains.

Well i'm passing 100% now in a new city and im having the biggest fun kidding and making life hard to transphobes peoples. In the end most of them only needed a push to understand better... You gotta get them out of their comfort zone and that's usualy their biggest issue.
