The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Real ID effort would mean driver's licenses would show citizenship or immigration status, but opponents foresee a ''nightmare" of paperwork hassles when residents renew driver's licenses.

I'm not going to worry about the "Real ID". I think that by the time we elect a new administration things will change. Even if this goes through, what do you have to hide. I have been up front with everything that I have done. Right now they can find out that I'm an alias as I have changed my name. If I go ahead and change my birth certificate, it can still be looked up and find the one that the doctor originally signed his name to. We can't hide anything now. I still think that the states will delay this and then find it too costly to go through. I know there are a few states that want it, well they can pay the price but let others do what they want. I maybe wrong on this issue, but I believe it is the same issue that my mom faced in the early 60's. Everyone was out to build a bomb shelter and get ready for the nuclear war. We were all scared back then. My mom said that if the bomb was dropped, we would just kiss our asses goodbye. If the bomb didn't kill us the radiation would. This is why I believe the 'Real ID' is just the sky is falling. Just my opinion.
