Matthew

Had my first blocker injection today.

Was super nervous, I'm no good around needles. My nerves weren't helped by the fact that the nurses had never assembled an injection like that one before, so a few of them came in to try and work out how to mix the powder and liquid.

As far as the actual injection went, it was painful but lasted for only a few seconds, I was actually surprised when the nurse said it was done.

Looking at the needle afterwards (not before because I woulda freaked) it was about the length of my thumb, and apparently the whole of it was inserted. Pretty awesome.

Because of NHS regulations, I got another 11 of those to go until T, but finally the end (or the start) is in sight!

Sounds Awesome!

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a blocker injection / why do you need it?

It's an injection given to stop puberty for a year until cross sex hormones are given (testosterone or estrogen) and is policy in the UK.
