Petrus Thomas Ratajczyk. I understand there is a celebrity named that but he has been dead for 6 years so it wouldn't be identity theft. But do you think they would allow this?

a lot of people have the same names. as long as you don't claim to be that person personally like use his sin number, credit cards, etc. it isn't identity theft. it should be allowed they tend to just ban names that are sacrilegious.

Coming from someone who is a big Type O fan myself.... I wouldn't do that. I don't think it's cool to knowingly take a dead person's name. Imagine if everyone walked around naming themselves after their favorite musicians, there would be so many people named Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Its just not very tasteful in my opinion. You can honor Peter in other ways, but don't take his name.

I do agree. The reason why I got this idea was because there was this cover band called White Slavery and the lead singer looked exactly like Peter and dressed like him and talked and sung and played the bass like him. The only reason why I want to change my name to that is because I'd like to try my best to look like him and maybe even sing like him just to make people remember him but I wouldn't say that I am him but just reminding people of him. I don't know maybe I'm an idiot.

You could honor him by taking the first two names, for example.
I thought of taking on my second name of Earhart, as in Amelia Earhart, one of my heroes.

You are your own person, and you can honor him by being a lot like him, but in the end you are still you (and I think you should honor that as well). So my advice would be to create a name that can honor someone else yet is unique to who you are.

Petrus Thomas Ratajczyk is a pretty obviously non-English name. Unless you're eastern european, this will look weird, and it'll likely embarrass you. Also, the whole taking full names thing isn't a good idea. Not just for legal purposes, but just because it'll cause a lot of confusion. You could try changing it a bit, Petrus to Peter, Patrick, Pedro, Pascal... there's so many names. I mean, you can do what you want, but why take someone's ENTIRE name? It's better to stay true to yourself and not copy another person that far.
