Comments That Other People/Strangers Say About "The Trans Subject" (for fun!)

Mods, feel free to delete or move if need be.

Have you ever talked to a classmate/coworker or even just eavesdropped on a complete stranger and "the trans subject" comes up? They weren't necessarily trying to be transphobic or offensive in any way, but they say something that just slightly irritates you or you even let out a little chuckle because of how many times you have heard it.

Here is a place where you can quote them and talk about it...

Here's an example from my personal experiences:

Any tiny bit of femininity is broadcasts as "proof" you are really not transgender and that you are just, "a confused girl."   (vice-versa for trans females)

I thought this would be interesting!

Ha ha, good one. My first coming out was to my mom and after the initial shock she told me:'' Well I hope you're not gonna look like Mado Lamothe.'' Mado Lamothe is (was) a funny tv personality here in Quebec that looks like a drag queen but is not, she is a parody of a drag queen! That was the first but not the last time I had to explain the difference. I don't know why people think that... Cheers, Rose.

When I came out to my mom, the first thing she asked me was if I had a girlfriend on the side and was leaving my husband. My husband asked me a similar question when I came out to him.  I just find it funny that people are so clueless and they think being trans is ALL about sex.

One day at work, i heard my boss talking with some other guys.  He said that it's not hard to know if you're a boy or girl, you just look at the parts.  They talked about how there are things mentally wrong with trans people and they laughed.  It hurt me so much that i had to admit to myself that it's because I'm trans and they were talking about me.

This happened at work the other the day: I'm a truck driver, and was in the mine with another driver waiting to get loaded and our loader man just went on an Obama and trans people rant that got my blood boiling. I so badly wanted to speak my mind but was afraid off pissing him off because as my loader he controls my weights which in turn controls my pay.

I'm dreading having to come out at work because a lot of the people I work with have his mindset.
