I've never heard of this guy before but my electrologist says he does very good work. Has anyone gone to him or know anyone that has? He's based out of Chicago.

Use the site search to look for the last name only. You will get about 40 hits on the name so people on the site have used him and reported on him.

He does great work from what I have seen. Very knowledgeable, friendly. Medically conservative, so he'll want you to be around your ideal weight with as few other risk factors as possible before he'll work on you.

I was/am planning to go to him. I've had a lot of difficulty with his scheduler. They've rescheduled my bottom surgery 3 times now, and I currently don't have a date (and haven't had one since May) despite having paid. If I haven't heard back by the end of the week I'm planning to cancel. Wish it didn't come down to that, because he does do really great work.

I went to see him 3 weeks ago for GCS consultation. He seemed nice enough and the pictures of his work looked good. Scheduling does seem to be a problem. I asked what dates were available and have still not heard back.
I ultimately decided to go with Dr. Rumer because of her shorter hospital stay, recovery facility and no requirement for hair removal before surgery.

Hair removal is a non-starter for me. I've nixed a few surgeons over them requiring hair removal. I'm pretty firm on Brassard but it helps to keep options open and keep looking until reaching the point of putting money down and setting a date.

KayXo posted about going to Brassard and having serious hair problems.

It really depends on the procedure. In my case, I just had PI and I had enough material to construct a vagina with the penis so hair removal wasn't an issue. The remaining material was used for external construction though my surgery would be considered the first stage of a two stage operation. Scraping carries the risk that it may not get all the hair. KayXo has an older surgery and it appears that Brassard may be getting better at the process from what I have been reading. It really boils down to figuring out which procedure you will need and then figuring out how much you are willing to risk.
