i see people post their shots up here, i'm interested to know if i've got something decent to start with, i know hrt affects everyone differently. i'm just looking for some objective opinions because i tend to be hypercritical of myself.

i have my first counseling session in a week which is great because i was told i'd have to wait 2 months initially.

thanks for the comments people i took the pics down, makes me a little paranoid.

as long as i'm throwing images up here, this is my 6 mo old st bernard puppy, delilah. she is a bit of a terror at times, especially when she pees on my bed to get back at me!! she knows what shes doing....

id say you need a LOT of electro judging by your last photo.... or laser as you do have some prominent dark hair.... ohwait....

Thats literally 1 year of hrt on a 20yearold...
some get that, some dont, some get more, End of the day, its your genetics that will decide, your bone structure isnt overly masculine, so i think youve got a good chance of coming out smelling of roses

off my army ID actually... i did a years service because i felt that i could cure myself of these deviant thoughts...(and my father was big on his son being an officer) all i suceeded in was an awesome view in the showers, and nearly comitting suicide) So no, not a mugshot, i just didnt have much emotion back then.... (denials a strong thing)

i went down the old repression road myself. about a year ago i couldn't take it anymore, i was in a relationship at the time and decided to confide in her some of my feelings. It made her quite angry and since i was still quite ashamed of myself she used it to blackmail me to remain in the relationship.. sigh

i finally decided to end the relationship when i thought it'd be less to deal with it coming out. she came over after i had told her i wanted to end it and started smashing up my room, i had to call the police, when they got there she told them i assaulted her. thank god they didn't believe her or i don't know where i'd be today.

a couple months ago i just couldn't take holding it in anymore, i was starting to get suicidal and i came out to my family and friends. i'm actually excited about the future for the first time in a looong while.

Im glad your friends and family took it well (i assume so) ive not seen my family since i came out last easter...
and my sister was like your gf, she was fine at first, then got uber religous, and then blackmailed me to do stuff, and keep me under her thumb... hence telling my parents... lol that went well.

Don't know - I think you'll do quite well. As Rachael points out, your bone-structure seems quite a plus in your favour, you're still young, etc. On your second photo, from that angle, you could probably already pass really well with just a bit of make-up. Photos are difficult to judge, but I'd say there's a lot to work with.

Wow Rachael that is a huge change, you looked so manly before. Doesn't even look like you now...god I still can't get over it...but for Catlin I think you will do great but It's hard to tell 100% from the shots you gave.

Month 2 (low dose of estrogen and spiro 0 to 2)

Month 4 (Dose of E doubled from 2 to 4)


4 months is rather short, but still some difference, face is rounder and skin smoother.

Got operated on nose and forehead at month 5 so not putting next pictures which
have too much of a change. Avatar is about month 12.

Forgot to say, the avatar picture is 30 pounds less than the 3 pictures I put up.
If I had not done HRT, I bet my face would have been much more masculine
and angular which so a drastic weight drop.

After seeing the difference HRT made to your face and to Rachael's, I am filled with joyous overflowing hope (told y'all I was into the melodrama!)

I'm really worried about my age though - I'm turning 30 in August, and I've read that pretty much after 25 or so your receptivity to HRT halves every year. Thus the self medication on anti-androgens just to slow things as and where I can.

Anybody have any ideas as far as age and receptivity goes?

as your HGH levels drop, which never quite go, but hit the trough around 24 when physical development is complete, after that its really down, but 30 is not old...
not sure how old kiera is, but  i know i started hrt at 19, so im hardly a good benchmark for past that...

Caitlin:Your young, without looking like a football player, tbh you could pass now, with some makup,so theres not much to worry about... i sure as hell couldnt pass before ><

I'm 40 Rachael. Just look at the white hair in the first set of photos 
My hair is 60-75% white depending on position on the head.
And, remember, the weight lost, that really impacts how round the
face is. But even with that, the fats deposited from estrogen are
in a different area of the face in males and females.

I suppose you're right Rachael, 30 isn't THAT bad... but I'm still really jealous of you!

yeah its all in the fat, even thiner women have proportionally fatter faces than men...

Lady, you get what you get. Age means that you MIGHT get it slower (the human
growth hormones are lower) but if you keep the appropriate same dose long enough
you. The difficult thing is finding that appropriate dose; its different for everyone
and endo's often use a one size fit all method.

No, this is not superflueous, if you go up one inch from the front of this smalll triangle and then slowly curve 1.5 inward to a point 1/3 inch over your top forehead furrow, that's probably close to being your original hairline. Hope I'm being clear. If you lose more hair, with time the triangle moves back and this is no longer the case.

Its an optical illusion, they are in the exact same spot in both photo.
Although, its possible it was at the end of my dye cycle, those hair
are very white and not very dense, so it bright light the white root
could disapeer making the leading edge disapear.

The bossing seems not too bad.
But, its not just how much projection you have that determines the level,
its also where the sinus is and how big it is. If its beyond the eye, well,
you've got to reset it back even with little projection.
