Snow Lights,
Welcome to the site.
Yup, my first thought is get to a therapist. Are you a student or able to get insurance? They help you take the list you made(and the things you forgot or were embarrassed to add) and help you make sense of them. They help
you decide what path to take, and how to take it safely. They can also, if needed, give you a boot in the pants.
I started dressing when I was 8 or 9. I did not always know I wanted to be a girl. I did not really have the language or ability to think that to myself(I think I always knew it deep down). I had a lot of tendencies that were considered more effeminate. For the last 5 years, I have worn a rash guard when swimming(have not gone swimming since starting HRT.
It is common for dysphoria to come and go. It tends to go when we are busy and/or happy. That is why when people seek advice to cope with it, we usually suggest doing a hobby, tackling a project or volunteering. It sometimes keeps it at bay. I can say that, in my case, it never goes away. It also seemed to get stronger, the older I got.
I also wanted to give you a heads up. The way you phrased the sentence about cross dressers could upset or offend some. They are considered on the trans spectrum on this site. We try to be very inclusive and positive. So, while I don't think you intended it that way please be aware how it might be read.
Now that that is over I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:
