Do you know how many lost limbs, infectious disease deaths, suicides, etc would be prevented if people would just... go to the doctor when you're worried your body has done something odd. If nothing is wrong, he'll poke you, say, "meh", you're fine, you just had a x or y; have a nice day, pay at the cashier. Mine did that with my wrist, grabbed it, said, "push against my hand, again, again. good. It'll recover in another few weeks, no worries. shooo"
Or take poison ivy, tons of OTC "cures", meant to make it stop itching basically till it goes away naturally; which can take a while, and cost you a bundle, though it doesn't seem bad at $10 a pop; or you could go to the doc, he'll say, "oooh yuck, <taps on tablet screen>, get that out of my office, pickup your script and follow the directions." 3 days or so later, its mostly gone, finish the card, hallelujah! cost, easily half the OTC method. speed, OTC not even in the same league.
Seriously. GO. The doc won't mind (unless you're making a bi-weekly habit of it...)
