It's very comforting.  I came here with the intent of posting only once.  I was flying high because I got Mammed.  I just wanted to find people that get it and share.  If not for this site, I probably would have convinced myself that I'm not trans*.  I would probably feel like I've got a plethora of oddly specific mental illnesses causing my feelings.  And I would feel really guilty thinking that I'm disregarding the pain of real trans* people, by feeling like I have things in common with them.  But instead, thanks to this site, I'm comfortable being trans* or confused, or anything else.  That's because there are so many kind people here that I have so much in common with.  Thank you all for that.

I've got to emphasize the role of Susan's vision for the site and the ongoing role of the moderators in keeping this place safe, troll-free and civil.

The regulars, both old and relatively new, represent a treasure of experience, wisdom and compassion as well as pragmatic advice.  I don't know how I would have managed  several very tough times without the support of the wonderful people here.

Welcome!

Just Me Here

Yeah, the people on the site are what makes Susan's what it is. It's just relieving to know that there are people out there who've gone through the same thing as you, and come out better than okay. This place has saved my sanity so many times when doubts kept on niggling in.

Yeah we go through a lot of similar things, but some people do have it worse than others. It sucks, but one day things will 'hopefully' be different for us. Alright I'ma have to head unto another hiatus. I dunno when I'll be around next time  - probably around my one year mark or sooner I dunno. Busy busy as usual hehe.

I'm really glad I found this place tho - I've gone through quite a bit myself.

I agree, this place is comforting to me. When I pull up my bookmarks and see Susan's Place, *click* I always smile.
