Not sure where to start... lol

I actually started a journal about 18months ago that I could have copy-pasted into here with a pretty good explanation for how I came to be here on this site.  That got deleted as part of a purge about 3months ago...  I'm sure nobody here can relate right?  ;)

I guess I have been looking to make a friend or a couple of friends that could relate to what I am going through.  Interesting enough Craigslist is not particularly good for that :-\

Anyway... Hello:)

Hi Melissa, welcome.
What is this strange word. 'purge' you use? 😉 haha
You'll find lots of friends here and plenty of support if you need it. X

Hi MelissaB, welcome to Susan's. We can relate probably more than you realize. So many of us, including myself, have purged things at different points before transitioning. I wouldn't think it would be. Your among friends now though. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Hi MelissaB

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your time here at Susan's.

Me-Purge-never  ;D ;D

Actually I stopped doing that once I realised how much I was costing myself and that "this" was not going away in a hurry.

Feel free to have a poke around and meet some people. I have included links we give to all new members

Hi Melissa,
Folks around here are pretty friendly. We just  can't help ourselves, well, except when the moon is full and the wolf bane blooms. :) I have had my share of purges. There was only one that lasted for me, when I purged my closest of guy clothes.  Hope you feel comfortable enough to share more of your story.

So I posted my Intro and within 30min I have five very kind and thoughtful replys...

I am scared, I am thankful, I am excited, and I am on the edge of tears.

I am not completely clear on how best to use this resource or connect/reply and communicate so to all who have replied bear with me and any advice will be warmly received.

On the topic of sharing my story - what is the best way to go about that?  I would like to share more and hear others stories as well, but I assume the Intro Section is not intended to be for composing ones Autobiography.

Generally no, but have seen a few try to post that in one intro post before. Wherever it fits on the forums is a wonderful place to do that. Although I suppose you could say my life story is split up in many posts. Hugs

Use the site however you feel comfortable. If you have questions, post them and most likely they will receive a reply. If you want to share something, it might not get a reply but it will get views. Some people get their courage here by posting their doubts. People even have fun here in the games and entertainment areas. If you feel we need another area, we will consider it and if it's good idea, a new area will be created. Start small and as you get comfortable with the site you can move into other areas.

I started in the voice area as that was my primary area of interest but quickly expanded to helping others. As a moderator, there isn't an area of the site I don't look at and I post in many including the FTM area.

So I just gotta ask, because I really love that profile pic -  sexy, sassy, but not inappropriate or over the top.  Is that you in the pic, or a pic you found that you really like?

Ah, the purges! The somebody-please-knock-me-out-before-I-throw-all-of-this-expensive-makeup-out was my worst one lol. I hope to never go through that again! Hello and I hope to see you around. :)
My name is Alyssa. Emily was my name for myself when I was a teen. Why did I make Emily part of my username? To remind myself that everything I am now is because of everything I have gone through up to this point.
