soooooo i had some "transspecialist" at planned parenthood take care of my hrt and not once did she ever tell me my levels...in 2 years of her being my doctor...so iv felt kinda in the dark for awhile. anyways i have been having massive issues with medication lately i was taking injections before that i was taking estrogen by pill. after complications in trying to receive the injections because of backorder my doctor threw me back on pills at a slightly higher pill dose a day.

so far iv felt better on the pills than i did injections i was wondering...which of the 2 are a higher dose? i take a weekly shot too..

iv felt sluggish on the injections :? but idk if thats just me overthinking it too. please some advice would be amazing help

was just advised to remove my dosage otherwise this would be removed...but i cant send messaged because im new...soooo how do i get advise about this?

My recommendation would be to consult your doctor and let them make any adjustments, if any are needed. Fact is if your having issues they need to know. This way they can adjust things as needed and check on what is going on. Secondly there is no way to compare injections to pills. Two different delivery methods and how your body reacts to them will also be different most likely. Hugs

sadly the location im in now is no where near a doctor who can treat me properly my old doctor lives like 7 hours away now after i moved and over here there like nothing...just family doctors...iv been having to call my old doctor for help but she can only help so much over the phone sadly.

I can understand that I travel like 5 hours to my Endo because no Endo in my area will do HRT. If you have been on HRT awhile already your PCP might be willing to prescribe for you once it has been managed awhile. Have you tried talking them. Hugs

yeah im doing that now but hes still clueless. just theres so many questions i have and i still have not had my levels checked and iv been going threw alot of emotional stress and sweating all the time through my arm pits and feeling more manly sometimes i never know if the meds im on are actually working right for me. its stressful tbh. but also now that im back on pills instead of injections i feel a little leveled out but i feel unwilling to drop such a viable source of estrogen. everyone says it works better and personally i cant stand pills they are a pain in the butt to take 2 times a day. guess i just need to wait til we move again to see my levels :/ blah that like almost a year away..wish things where a little easier

Your doctor can order blood tests to check your levels. That and how you are responding he needs to know in regards to how you are doing. Hugs

oh well thank you, but what if he has no idea what the readings even mean because he is pcp. :p i wouldnt even know what to do with the numbers

The PCP will have a decent idea enough to be able to assist you but that is why most don't handle cases tell you have been on HRT for awhile. Hugs

thank you <3, had a terrible dream about my bio father...hes against my transition and i had to disown him and my family to stay safe...now i live with my girlfriends family and we are very very transfriendly here love it. surely a blessing. the dream i had scared me so bad. and for some reason it sparked me up to want to do more for my transition because iv been slacking alot :/. this community looks very loving and im glad to be a part.

I was on pills then IM and now pills due to the shortage.

I liked IM much better than pills but I had to have the interval reduced from 14 days to 9 days.

I am back on pills and can not wait for IM again.

It is very important to know your T, which needs to be sufficiently suppressed. Then either know your E or use how you feel and your feminization to determine if you have enough E. Where I go they do not measure E and treat thousands of trans with 9 practitioners ( there is a 3 month wait for new patients). 

My IM E was 70% my pill E.

I'm on patches and while they give me rashes I feel like they perform better with me than the pills. However, I think its going sooo slowly. Not enough feminization . I still have the body frame of a male and my hair, face and boobs are sorta feminized, My T i think is suppressed but not enough E in my system. My T is at 0.103 and E is at 120. I can't get injections unless I got to another doctor and pay for them myself.
