My first appointment with the GIC (Edinburgh Clinic) went really well. As it was the first part of my assessment we mainly talked about my background and what I hope to achieve through using the service; the main gender related stuff will be in the second part of the assessment.
I had five samples of my blood taken, including a hormone check, which I'll get the results for at the next appointment. I was also put forward for facial hair removal and speech therapy, which will happen sometime next year (if I still want them then, which I will).
Because I've been to a psychologist already, and don't wish to bank any sperm, the whole process will be much quicker for me.
The person I saw was really nice, and even mentioned Non-binary identities without me having to bring it up. He's booked me in for a double length appointment next time, so I can have my assessment done in two appointments instead of three.

I have returned from another successful trip to the Edinburgh GIC, one in which I was officially diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria. Next appointment will be with a new person on January 27th, where there's a 50/50 chance I will be prescribed hormones. I've also been put forward for voice therapy and laser hair removal.  ;D
