Hey everyone! <3

While I wish my first post could have been on a less serious subject, I have (after 10 months on estrogen) come to the realisation that transitioning is not right for me at this stage in life- I was weak before starting the estrogen, what little muscle mass I did have has faded away, and my health has never been worse, but as I'm only 18 I feel that the option of transition could be entered into again some day.

I am just wondering if anyone has any solid knowledge on whether breast development is reversible without surgical procedure, and if there is anything I could do to either disguise or reduce what I have already. Without getting too TMI, I'm nowhere close to even an A cup at this stage, I just have rather raised and somewhat bud like nipples. My main concern in detransitioning would be this, as for someone of my size (I weight around 48kg), it's pretty much impossible to disguise as they stick out like sore thumbs on my frame, making reverting back to bra-less clothing rather difficult  :embarrassed:

Thank you in advance for any answers <3

I've stopped a few times early on for a few months and my breasts shrank a bit, but not a huge amount. If you look at what FTM's experience its much the same.

I'd not consider surgery as its not unlikely you'll be back transitioning in the future.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I was off HRT for 10 years and saw some reduction in size but I still had breast. I would recommend agains surgery as another site member did that and she now regrets the decision as she is back in transition.  You could wear a sports bra to reduce what is showing and another option is lose fitting tops instead of skin tight ones. I would also advise against binding if you may revisit the transition because binding might cause damage to young breasts.

Once you have been blessed with a visit from the titty fairy, you will discover she won't take them back.  All is not lost though.  Many young males have gynecomastia, so you aren't far outside the norm.

Again, please don't consider surgery, as that would prove un-satisfactory in the long run. Those nipples will be a reminder that you aren't totally male anymore.  Ultimately you will return and try again.  You have primed the pump so things will happen faster down the road.

At your weight I suspect that you had low testosterone before taking estrogen.  That's a condition called hypogonadism which leads to weakness, lethargy and other health problems.  I had that condition and took testosterone for years, then I found I needed to switch to estrogen.

You are young and maintaining your health needs to be priority one.  The gender issues should be secondary at this time in your life.

I've been a natural aa since I was 13 and don't wear a bra in male mode and they poke out and people don't say anything.

I was on hormones as a kid ( long story )
By puberty I had boobs. It's was completely embarrassing as teenage boy with boobs at school. I avoided anything where I had to take my shirt off.
Once I put on muscle it wasn't so noticeable.
And it depends how you stand etc , chest out shoulders back helps flatten them.
I always wear baggy bulky tops.  I always went swimming with t-shirt on. Slowly got to the point we're it didn't worry me to much. None of my girlfriends were put off.
Although my ex and kids liked to tease me about it , much to my embarrassment.
Although now in transtition it's been an advantage instead of a curse.

If you mostly have budding, they should shrink a lot. The budding will completely shrink after stopping HRT once testosterone comes back.
